Such a shame.

Even the dealers shitted on them after they’d shut down - when I took my Lotus out on a test drive the dealer had a Tuscan literally hanging off the second floor wall. The head of sales at the dealership told my wife it was the least troublesome place for it.

My Lotus was trouble free over 10k miles, even with the Rover engine. Radiator ends split, but that wasnt Lotus made. Nothing like the image that the people who’ve never owned one like to project.

I know quite a few people who worked at TVR and in fact I hand made some of the electronics for them. All things considered I’m surprised they work as well as they do.

Coincidence…did a fair few of the AM DB7 instrument cluster circuit boards waaaaay back in the day after college. Just put them together, soldering - that bullshit, not designing of course.

I’m as bad as the rest - I’ve been tempted a fair few times but the stories scared me off.

I love nutty cars like that, working or not.

And she’s back! Off to source a new bonnet today. Feels so good to drive when it’s not fucked. I love it, I love it, I love it.

Anyone know the best place or way to colour match. I have a new grill and want to paint it green to match the brakes.

Please don’t, there is a SUP Transporter wanker near me that has green wing mirrors and grill, looks monster energy AF.

I’ve colour matched plastic bits using plastikote before. Lightly sand it and put a primer layer on first if you want it to last.

I would only do it if you can pull the red bit off the grille to paint it, it’ll get messy otherwise no matter how much masking tape you use!

But as others have said, not doing it at all is probably the better option

Well then do I respray red and then do the callipers red to match.

I think red brakes would look better than green, but if I was you I’d leave it as it is and keep an eye out for a nice set of upgrade alloys with tyres for when your tyres wear out. Bought a few sets in the past with decent tyres for not much more than the price of 4 new tyres! Some 18" BBS CH (not the CH-Rs) would look the bollocks and they’re original fitment.

Also, controversial one…but LED rear light upgrade can be pretty nice if you pick the right set. Did it on my T6 camper when one of my rear light units rusted and I’ve been really happy with them. They cost about £300 for both lights but were easier to fit than changing a bulb!

EDIT: Quick google brought up these BBS CH with tyres for £500 but they look a bit scabby and the tyres are shot.

My tyres are cooked I think they are 19’s.

Don’t listen to them, IMHO if you think green would look nice then do it green. :+1:

Just like shoes, always stick to the O.G. colourways

For the same reason why resale on Nike I.D.s is so bad

99% sure it’s a Bentley, I only clocked it pretty fast as we drove down the bottom of the street and didn’t want to be caught up close snapping it.

Tyres are nearly cooked, gunna go finish them off on a track day. Anyone else keen to join? Forum track meet up? Haha

Isn’t taking bald tyres on a track day like one of the worst ideas possible?
