My Integra passed MOT this morning. Another year without any advisories. I’ve shamefully done < 600 miles in 5 years. Got back home and the old girl went back in the garage. Steering wheel removed this evening to be sent away tomorrow for a refurb - a few years ago I must have caught it with my pants zipper when getting in and scuffed the leather. Shame as it was excellent before I spannered that up.
It is all just excuses to be honest, however even just driving to the garage that does my MOT and back, 13 miles each way, kinda puts me off - other road users and their behaviour.
It is good fun. Mugen suspension, Eibach adjustable camber bolts and arms (f&r) with a fast road set up, Yoko AD08 (not the new RS!) tyres. Mugen front and rear strut braces, Mugen intake, braided brake hoses with decent brake fluid. A few stone chips here and there, side skirts need repainting. Steering wheel off to be recovered today. 25 years old this December.
No doubt they’re not quick 0-60 in modern terms but point to point they’re pretty rapid once set up correctly, which they really need tbh.
Sounds bob on. Get it driven.! I’ll happily come and drive with you in my Passat estate - people will be far too busy looking at my car to notice the ‘teg.
Haha, forgot - stiffened gear selector springs and detent springs, delrin shifter cable bushings on the gear stick side and aluminium shifter bushings on the gearbox side. Short shifter is a bit overkill for me as I don’t track the car.
I can’t talk as I have a Touareg which isn’t small! Not Defender sized though. If I could afford another car I’d likely have a Honda E for most daily stuff and just keep the Touareg for towing.
