Cars

Nicked from pistonheads. A full foot longer!

So gauche.

Neighbour has an old one in the communal car park. It’s a wall of cheap-looking chromed plastic at the front. Awful.

I saw Eddie Hall in his recent new truck earlier. It is on a similar rediculous size. Massive.

Wonder why they picked the Range Rover for that comparison, the Defender 110 is the more similar car being a 7 seater.

to be fair, it’ll appeal to the same Range Rover driving twats who want to sit up the arse of a learner motor in the most obnoxious, badly built piece of shit they can find on a PCP deal

Don’t the height of the front of those GM cars negate it from UK roads as it can’t pass safety tests. I saw a video on these and I’m sure they’re so high at the front it makes them a massive danger to pedestrians because you can’t see them

Just another massive wank car for massive wankers.

People here can’t drive for shit. Went to the in-laws earlier and had a Fiesta up my arse while overtaking. Flashed the hazards to back him off and gave the standard glare when he went past - he was eviling me and I’m a hundred percent sure he thought he’d have thought he was in the right.

Are they everywhere in the UK too? They were quite rare when I left but everywhere here, at least in the eastern suburbs of Sydney.

I always wanted an old one before the AMG blingy ones became popular

They were total shit to drive. Wobbly AF. Basketball net for a cup holder sucked hard too. New ones solved the dodgy ride and added cup holders at last though!

I suppose it depends where you are but I do see a lot of them around.

Self reply. This thing is fucking ridiculous. The Ford behind whatever this massive truck is massive in its own right. It makes no sense for uk roads.

The bonnet must be about 6’ tall.

Just ordered a home EV charger for obvious reasons.

EV swapping the Integra?

haha, nah, that K20 isn’t going anywhere, thats the heart of that car

So ditching my wifes Kia Soul. I’ve been on the fence for a while and the fuel price coupled with my wifes new job increasing mileage has just pushed us into a place where the EV will pay for itself.

Wife gets company EV car, they pay for all charging. And we do a 400km+ round trip to our summer house ever couple weeks so looking forward to saving a good 300 quid minimum per month

Yer gunna look into one of those new Renault 5’s I think. Could sell my car, and maybe scramble like £4K towards a deposit. Dunno how the fuck to charge it though

EDIT:

Lease means I have to give it back right? Want a yellow one

Yeah, or pay the final optional payment.

For the same monthly price as my car on a pcp I took out a fatty loan and bought one just under 3 yrs old for the same monthly price.

Need to have a think

Do lots of research @nedertron. That Renault 5 lease is £7,746.12 to effectively rent the car for 24 months, so £322 real world cost per month. You pay nearly £8k to drive a R5 around for 2 years and walk away with nothing. If you need or want to exit early (unemployment, shit hits the fan financially, you hate the car) you’ll likely have to pull yer kecks down and lube up. Exit fees will be in the contract. But your costs are locked in for 24 months so you know where you are and its all uner warranty. Not all bad really.

I’ve had feature creep from buying an older e-Golf for hacking around in, to p/xing wifes car and therefore looking at ground-up EVs with longer range for her new commute.

This is where I’m going - p/x plus cash loan which is covered by what we spend on diesel per month, especially at todays prices where we’ll be better off. Break even is 150. Back to 130 and we’re spending a little more, but driving a 6 years newer car.
