It was when I did that, yep.

Mine renewed recently and they wanted to increase it by a couple of hundred quid per year with no justifiable reason.
Went to AA and it cost just under half that of my previous insurer who wanted to hike it.
I insure for 8000 miles.
Given the current situation I’ve had obviously reduced mileage so in a year and a half I’ve only hit around 6500 miles.

What a beaut.

Oof.

There’s a dude I follow on Insta models old cars in Blender… Some of those are gorgeous.

Can’t stand American car styling, there’s never anything understated, it’s all so gauche.

Classic European ftw!

Jap shitboxes for the win.
I daily drive an NB mx5 with an LSD and it’s so much fun.

A colleague has this old black wedge era Supra that he’s been keeping on the road since forever. He’s a keen amateur mechanic but seemingly not fussed about the appearance, hence it looks great.

I had an MX5 before we had a child. A MK2 also with an LSD, so much fun.

No car is as much fun for the money.
Ive had a few over the years inc a turbo mk1
They are just too runty these days unfortunatly.

Any of you driven a 1.2 Jazz.

Weapon mate.

Imported an absolute shit ton of those (mostly NAs) from Japan with my dad. Was over 1000 iirc. Absolutely bulletproof and amazing cars! Know them well. I could change a hood in under 40 mins

no but i’ve driven a air cooled camper, struggled up all hills and topped out at 55/60

I have, my missus had one until it got destroyed earlier this year. I didn’t hate it, not fun to drive but such a practical, cleverly designed and reliable little car.

They are so easy to work on. I love them.
Just a bit of a shitter on the motoway

I miss my NB MX-5, ridiculous amounts of fun. Keep looking at older Boxsters now.

Currently drive a Honda F-RV. It’s like a big Jazz.

Worked on my mini yesterday. Feeling really enthusiastic about getting it sorted lately. The geometry and tracking is way out at the moment

It’s the Leyland swirl logo. Someone liked it to that before. It’s just the standard one, earlier cars had a different badge with mini written on it. Only visual upgrade there is the pressed plate and it’s got halogen headlights rather then sealed beams. And you can see the intercooler behind the grill
