Cars

Well you don’t see these on the road that often. Pulled up next to them half hour ago.

Nice looks like a mk2 popular plus or similar. Much prefer the mk1 fiesta. Mate I work with is into grass tracking and used to race a couple of novas. Now has a KP starlet with a 2ltr red top on twin 45s and volvo back axle. Not much starlet left of it tbh.

Bend me over in your Nova.

You have been Nova Taken

Turns out the starter motor is knackered as well.

I saw that on some Ford forums. Interesting. So the starter kept an open circuit on to drain the battery?

Nah just my piss poor diagnosis. The battery is ok. Just the starter is dead. The guy form out old local garage came out. Apparently they were doing around 300 mot tests a week. Now absolutely zero.

Is this the pink car? or has that gone? I lose track of your cars ha.

The pink 208 kept piddling oil every where. Apparently that’s just what they do.

Drip tray underneath and just pout what ever has leaked over night back in, in the morning

just fantasy specced up an RS6 avant, 108k, fucking hell.

3.6 seconds 0-62 in an estate, no one really needs to go that fast but you never know

Ah well, that’s good it’s not a new battery too. At least the next time you have to take it out it will be a lot quicker than last time

My mates RS6 was tuned to 715bhp on the dyno last I knew.

He fucked about with his RS4 too and that was insane but the RS6 was fucking stupid, shouldn’t be allowed on the road!

Is that the new one? slower than the C7’s we use but nice inside. The last one is now a parts car. Having to make do with an Rs3 in hairdresser spec.

yeah, on audi site, think it\s called the blacked out carbon edition or something

Honestly I love cars but anything more than basic engine specs I just begin to glaze over. Don’t see any point throwing money at an engine or getting it chipped or dyno’d as I’m no race car driver and there’s no way I’ll benefit from an extra 10bhp let alone 300.

I do admit buying silly exhausts though, especially for the Imprezas, they sound lovely. Although got a big one for an STI I had and it messed with the idling and low down power. But did I do anything about it? Nope. Left it on because it sounded wicked. Proper chav but don’t care.

Some where along the line of mini ownership I thought it would be cool to have a turbod one. So when I came into some money from working away I bought various parts from people who were selling up. Basically it’s a modified metro turbo engine in a mini. It’s got a turbo off a saab now. Ford bits for programmable ecu (ignition only). It’s all been uprated and should be capable of 200hp in a car that came with about 40hp. I’ve never built an engine although I’d like to. Taken one out put it in bolt stuff on and off. Would love to have a garage so I could get more tools. I’d also like to get a welder and learn to weld again.

Yeah the dream. I really want to go through the excruciating pain of rebuilding an old Porsche 964. Maybe in about 10 years time and if I ever get enough money to haemorrage.

I’ve seen great restored/upgraded old Porsches down the years, this springs to mind:
