Air ride?
Yeah think it’s bagged
Looking to upgrade the old Golf at the moment to a second hand estate. What is the best bang for the buck in your opinion?
I’d love an e type. Hard top with the single piece rear door or/window. Unsure what series that is etc but if money was no object.
Targa for me. I actually liked that new one Porsche did a bit back with that kind of roof.
Agreed. I’d love a classic, without all the mods. Once drove a '66 Ferrari 275 GTB/C. Loved it.
I like these.
Urghhhhhhhhhhhh
That’s the one I’d have.
Probably a VAG estate, so Audi, VW, seat, Skoda as engines are pretty much identical. What I found though when looking for an A3 is that the size up A4 Avant was same price if not cheaper. When big cars go wrong they tend to cost more though so find a brand and model you like. Check owners club forums for common problems for specific engine sizes and models and either filter them out of your search or do your due diligence with service history when test driving. And when you go to test drive, test 3 out and take the best one. Never buy first one you try.
Nice one thanks.
Been eying up the Audi Allroad’s, though think I would have to get an older one to fit within my budget.
I got my license in February and got my first car ever the same day.
It’s a Citroën Xsara and thanks to this thread I just learnt that its colourway is called Lucifer red. Stoked, haha.
I know it very likely bares no resemblance to yours (except maybe the red), but I’ve always had a fondness for the Xsara because of this bad boy.
Sebastian Loeb one of the best WRC drivers ever.
I think we’re way past “one of” with him. He might even be one of the best motorsportsmen of all time across all disciplines.
My brother in law’s brother in law is an Estonian rally driver and was in factory Subaru team, he took me out on a test day and good God it was fucking terrifying
Driving through a forest missing trees by inches at 120mph, fucking mad
Reminded wife it was best day of my life yesterday and then she asked me about getting married and birth of child etc etc but nah, seriously, driving through forest at 120mph way better
I took a trial job at msport. They build all the Ford WRC cars and various other Ford rally cars and do some Bentley stuff to. I was buzzing to get it, rally technician or something it was. Got there and spent the week in a room soldering stuff and building test pieces to test my skills. Your job was to sit in a room and build wiring looms to spec. And they would be put on a test rig before going to the shop floor to be fitted by someone else. You never got to work on the cars so I was highly disappointed. Money was that good either and apparently Malcom Wilson is a bit of a cunt.
I know fuck all about cars and got mine so randomly. Loving it though, it’s nice, does the job and was really cheap.
Those are often some of the best cars!
