We missed a call from the vet late this afternoon and they’d gone home by the time we rang back. Hopefully it is good rather than bad news.

We just got a new cat. Our old one died about a year ago in an accident. We’d gotten used to having the neighbour’s cat visit everyday. This one was found but has no chip or anything so we took her in instead of letting her go for adoption.
Family decided to call her Jiji after Kiki’s delivery service. Not a huge fan but it’s better than sushi, maki, sashimi…I offered Ripley or Newt but they were vetoed.

Left the cats alone for 1 night and came back to a house full of poo and puke. I think it might be because we’ve brought a different brand of cat food, or maybe they are just holding a dirty protest.

Dog ate a mince pie last night after the vet was closed so had to pay emergency fees. £468. Fuck sake.

What is in mince pies that incurs a vet bill?
All the dried fruit is not good for their kidneys or livers or something.

Yeah grapes as raisins, little one is currently mad for them. Has to be watched like a hawk around our 2.

It’s not even an instant issue, it’s kidney failure after a few years.
More cat sick and really runny poo this morning. She’s 14 and never been like this before. I’m going to call the vets today as its likely to be more expensive if it carries on.

Never updated on Olive. Vets said either mega ££££ surgery that probably wont work or amputate. I decided to just see how it goes. She limps a little bit, but is otherwise happy. Sleeps by my feet every night. Maybe later in her life.

Our cat before the idiot got attacked by a dog had his leg amputated. He got run over and where the injury was they reckoned it wouldn’t get any better because of movement etc so they recommended amputation. 2 week recovery and after that he just adjusted to having 3 legs and was loving life. I wish they’d recommend it sooner because we were going back and forth every couple of days to get his wound redressed.
