My cats and chickens always got along well. I worried about that in the first place but there’s never ever been a problem, even if one of our cats regularly brings us small birds as gifts or something. I think chickens are too big, cats don’t attack them, they don’t see them as prey. Plus they see you feed them and stuff, they understand they’re all part of the same gang.

In a hurry now, gotta feed them all before I got to work but I’ll see if I can find a picture of them chilling together later.

Little bastard loves the snow so much more than doing the dump or waz you know he definitely needs. Hilarious to watch but frustrating when you want to just go to bed.

Mentioned anxiety surrounding him in this thread at some point, I’m sure. That’s all gone now but looking back the first 6-8 weeks of owning him was fucking hard. My wife really struggled with it. I’d never seen anyone indicate that it could be a thing and made us feel like such shitty people. As I say though, all good now.

I love those ball bag cats. My mate had one and it basically behaved like a mad puppy. Way more fun and playful than other cats.

We’ve got 2 others, and she’s completely different. She loves to sit on your shoulders and will launch herself onto you.

We’ve got 2, are yours particularly vocal? one of ours sits on her cat shelf and just constantly screams till you come into the room, then stops.

A little. Our hairy tortie is more vocal because she knows how to get your attention when she wants something.

One of my cats got clipped by a car mon night.
She’s been in vets since then with a bust pelvis.
I’m picking her up tonight to take her to a specialist for potential surgery tomorrow.

I’ve got insurance but I’m shitting it a bit that they will wiggle out of paying somehow.

Ah man, that’s the worst. Hope she’ll be okay and the insurance do the right thing.

I don’t post much on here but about 6 months back I moved in with my girlfriend. She has a three legged cat and I have a Boston terrier. He’s extremely well behaved, so much so that he does not even go up the stairs (cat territory) ever. The cat occasionally comes downstairs and pisses in one of his two beds. It’s probably cause he gets lots of attention. How do I resolve this situation? It scares the shit out of the dog haha.

Piss in the cat’s bed until he stops

Update:
I took her to a specialist in mid-Wales on Friday.
Her pelvis has become dislocated from her spine and has a fracture. She said she could operate and charge me 2k but it would cause her more short-term pain and only a 2-week recovery lead.
Cage rest and time will allow it reset and won’t cause any issues.

She is going to need an op on one of her hind legs a socket has been smashed. We’re going to fuse it back together with some pins and a plate.

I’m told in 6 months it will be impossible to tell, she will just have a slightly reduced leap.

Its pretty hard work having to feed and give her water with a syringe at the mo, but shes good.

Dude so sorry to hear and I hope she’s back feeling herself soon that’s so sad, sure the ops will go well! She’s a beauty!

She will be back on her feet in a month and able to go out again in 6-10 weeks.
Shes ok, enjoying fuss and attention.

Ours got hit by a car once. Her jaw was hanging off. I rushed her to the vets and they wired it back together luckily she kept all of her teeth and she had a feeding tube put in. The Mrs was at home with a new born having to feed a cat 6 times a day through a tube. And you couldn’t get air in the tube either. The cat was trying to get back outside as well. She’s been fine since she’s still a twat but I think she’s greatful we saved her. She had been out for 2 nights and I’d shaken food etc called her name, and I came down in the morning and she’d got back over a 6ft garden fence and through the kitchen window when I found her.

This is all we can hope for.

Sending all love your way.

If it’s any consolation our cat is a rescue, and she was hit pretty badly when she was around 9/10 months old. Whole hind left leg was shattered and had to have pins, etc.

She must have been in recovery for at least 6 months before we adopted her.
Now you wouldn’t be able to tell at all unless you looked out for her slightly kinky leg! She’s 7 this year and runs and jumps like any other cat would.
