Plus I can’t think of another sport where old pros are still shredding at such a high level.

He’s as right wing as you.

Yeah, CBI and the stuff Slam are doing shows a lot of truth to that, I think.

Probably a little more so

He’s a bit more working class I think.

Mr Goff was my first skate hero, so I’ll always back him (apart from the pervy creep insta-stalking). Bit of a contradiction there, but hey-ho! Skate-wise he’s more than paid his dues so has the right to be cantankerous as he likes. I hope I’m still skating every day in my mid 50’s like he is.

Bear in mind he stopped for a long while in the middle to do the rollerskating.

What did he do?

As mentioned earlier, he made some very iffy comments on stef nurding’s insta once. Can’t remember what exactly.

No he didn’t.
Sean has never stopped skating.

He rode a snakeboard for money for a while and has openly talked about it before.
Him and Churchill both got paid a fair bit to do demos etc. He was still skating the whole time though.

I stand corrected. Thought he’d binned it for a bit, I was sure there was something about that in Stig-era RaD.

I think you’re right - I don’t think he ever stopped skating. Even recently when he kept dislocating his shoulder every time he fell on it, he bought a brace and kept on riding for months until he had surgery

That was Sean (as the Editor of what was referred to at the time as ‘Shit RaD’) taking the piss

Off topic - I ended up watching a Boston hardcore doc on Amazon last night when bored. I knew Jake Phelps was from there and deep in the Boston HxC scène but was surprised by how many BGPs he had throughout all the archive stuff + loads of talking heads in it.
Tbh it was a bit cringe (but that’s just me as an old Michael Fabricant talking) but still interesting.

Full thing is on Amazon Prime

First band I interviewed who insisted it be over video call, rather than phone. These three pensioners giggling away, all trying to get in front of the camera for an hour, talking about how they didn’t really know what punk was supposed to be anyway.

Great bunch of lads.

Don’t think so - what’s the name of it?

Blood and Steel: Cedar Crest Country Club (2017). It’s definitely worth a watch.

Couldn’t find it sadly.
