Got a repost from SciFi so I’m happy.
i always run wheel graphics inwards, couldn’t use phillips bolts either
I often gaze at my set up wishing I could find the time to actually use the bloody thing.
Also set up a Real 8.28, Indy 144 ti, 54mm loopholes and lightly used Swiss last February and I’ve still not used it
54mm F4 classics are ace, got the 99s on the set up I actually use.
Love that National series
My current favourite skateboard.
These polarizers are great. My first two skateboards were like this but fibreglass with no grip tape. Skated everywhere on them - edit, obviously not pro spec ones as I was about 6 years old.
These look really good fun - and that one looks ace!
Avi’s been posting his clips of him and his on Insta.
Might have to knock something up DIY style myself - I’m sure I’ve got enough bits and bobs hanging around.
Dragons are weird but I think I like. They slide more than the standard wheels I had before. They were hardest ones Wayward do, I think. Fast as fuck with new bearings too. A freshie! At my age!
My plan was always to do a DIY one with a few bits of the blessed Blender version (essentially Bones Rough Riders), but wanted to treat myself for my birthday earlier this year, so went fully down the rabbit hole and bought one, even though the decks end up being a bit overly expensive for what they are.
It’s pretty overwhelming to have a board with no truck holes and have to figure out the truck placement yourself using woodscrews for mounting them.
Very pleased with the end product though and seem to have got it mostly correct.
Think I will probably end up creating a DIY one at some point. and maybe even invest in the new trucks that Heated Wheel are making that are supposedly much better than the sure grips.
Dragons chucked me off in spectacular fashion riding over a patch of vaguely damp car park last night.
I bought into the hype and have been riding some for about a month now. Waaaay grippier than I thought they’d be on wood, you really have to push them to slide. Not skated outdoors with them yet as it’s been damp here since Christmas. Itching to session a kerb with them.
Do you find them slower than your previous wheels indoors?
Yeah they are pretty grippy on smooth stuff, not much different to any other soft wheel. They will slide better on rougher ground. They make a lot of noise on metal rails/curbs and they definitely grip and slow you down on feebles and stuff.
Overall, I still think Spitfire F4 97as are the best UK all round wheel.
This all came today. Trucks were from Legacy and the rest was from Slugger, with their BOGOF offer.
Heroin curb killer 10”
Blast 9.25”
Ace 77 AF1
Spitfire 56mm formula 4 99a conical full
Shortys hardware
Bones big balls
Nice birruv kit tha’
Big up yourself for shopping at legit skater owned shops too!
Looks like a good stash!
I might be massively tempted to get one of the 10" Heroin ‘popsicles’ (with Avi’s art on) when I see one.
It’s a beast! My other board is an 8.25 so this thing feels like a boat in comparison
Love it!
I bought some Venture 5.2 V Hollow lows and 50mm F4 lil smokies (101d as well lol) recently. I decided I didn’t want to turn or go fast
Going fast is overrated.
