Ah yeah this one is great for sure.

I hadn’t skated a Crail board in decades but got a GO42 last spring, skated it loads as I really liked it and recently got 3 more! Stoked.

Hahaha here we are again

Found an old set of bones reds so going to whack these in my daughter’s little setup

Going to get some new trucks at the end of the month. Tempted by Thunder hollow lights but also considering Venture. The Venture turn is putting me off though. My ace trucks have been good but are close to the axle now and fancied a change.

Can recommend hollow lights, I really like them. Rode Indys for better part of 15 before then

Has the new longer wheelbase impacted your flip tricks?

As if I flip my board these days

Nah it’s fine. Like, I honestly couldn’t feel the difference. When I first got them I’d just set the trucks up (not even stood or rolled on the board) when I turned up at the park a kid challenged me to a game of skate and I beat him. So yeah, they make you skate brilliantly.

Oh yeah, and here’s a quick 40 second video of review I did of them

+1 for thunder hollow lights although I buy decks with a shorter wheelbase as a result

Skated those Powell Dragons last night at the indoor park. It was cold! (Like <10c) and I decided they were a bit too heavy for me, and also they did stick a bit when I was trying some revert-y stuff. This is probably as I’m used to riding very hard skinny 50mm. So might get some of the smallest ones they do (52mm) and see if I get along better with those

went the christmas complete route a few months back, 8.5 14.5wb, af1 44s, 55mm oj’s but was just a bit too much for me. scaled it back to 8.5 14.25 and 52mm spitfires, much nicer.

Anyone skated the bone red big balls?

Is the difference over normal reds noticeable?

These? Bones Bearings | Reds Big Balls Skate Bearings – Legacy Skate Store

If so, I’ve got them. I wouldn’t notice a difference I swapped from Andales so was worth the upgrade. I think @roncalow up sold them to me :joy:

they broke marginally slower than normal reds for me but cost more so :man_shrugging:

I cleaned my set just the other day. They’re brilliant. Better than standard Bones Reds IMO (as I had 2 sets and am not exactly a stair chomper and manage to blow out both sets) but the Big Balls I’ve had for like 10 years at least.
