10 years? Are you not mixing them up with Swiss or something because I’m pretty sure the Big Balls are fairly recent, 2/3 years at most.

Did a quick search and found a result from 2014 so pretty sure they aren’t that new

Where? Not trying to discredit your experiences or anything like that but 10 years seemed a bit far off to me, and even Bones site itself has them listed as “the newest addition” in 2019

Big balls have been around for ages in the swiss. They were an option last time I bought swiss, which was a decade ago.

I think they’re somewhat new in the reds line.

I bought some in the end.

Actually mine could be super swiss six, which aren’t reds. Just checked they have blue shields which I think are non-reds (they have red shields, right?). So my mistake @dontcomply

I think the Super Reds they had out for a little while had blue shields? Could be those you’re thinking of? They weren’t Swiss and weren’t Big Balls but were an upgraded version.

They def have blue shields, have ‘bones swiss’ on them and have 6 balls, they are in that vid I posted earlier when I am cleaning them out?!?

yeah, looking at it seems the big balls thing was originally done for Swiss and then a few years down the line they copied it over for Reds and pushed the branding for it heavily. Obviously the most logical thing to do was give a product named reds blue shields instead…

Swiss six balls have dark blue shields and the reds big balls have light blue shields. The swiss six are really good, I just didn’t maintain them properly until too late. Have got the Bones cleaning unit now.

I got some Venture v lites. The turn seems fine and I’m popping better on these trucks but they don’t seem to grind as well as the Aces I had. Am tempted to try Thunders. Will try some more kerb/low ledge spots before giving up on the Ventures.

New truck company :upside_down_face::

Ha, how fucking much?!

Skated some local slappy kerbs and the Ventures grind fine actually, just not so good on rougher kerbs or ledges. Stoked with my setup.

How long have grind king been back?

Funny one aye, they had one unique selling point bitd (if you were too lazy to fit their kingpins onto your old trucks yourself) but now indy are doing it am sure other manufacturers will follow, surely?

I remember being SUPER jealous at school of my mates set up. He had the Flame Baseplate Grind Kings!
