Blank boards look so cool with a good sticker job.
I recently got some almost blank Magenta logo boards for a really good price from my mate who runs a local distro. I don’t give a shit about them being 2 years old or something, it’s BBS wood and I love tarting them up with whatever stickers I have at home. Gonna get more I think, even if I already have loads of boards on ice.
when my mum used to say ‘you’re just paying for the name’, she may have had a point.
Seen better quality stuff at B&M
You could at least get a Slipknot hoodie with black trucks and black wheels for that price.
Talking about this… I know everything is cool in skateboarding these days, I mean, in some vids, 90% of the shit you see would have been dork tricks not that long ago. Pop shove tailgrabs, pressure flips, as if the body varial craze hadn’t done enough damage… Oh well. Am I the only one here thinking black wheels look absolutely putrid? Colored trucks can be acceptable but black wheels? Ugh. I’m fine with it if this makes me a boomer.
Black wheels are wrong, they always feel soft too.
Will instantly ruin any footage for me.
Just bung on a pair of cariumas while you’re at it.
Mosher wheels
Certainly not!
I always associate black wheels with them crumbling as well
If ever you need to describe a skater to your mates you could just say ‘they had black wheels’ and that tells you all you need to know
Agreed.
Thank you guys, that’s good to know.
Sometimes I feel like I’m from another galaxy when I see kids at the skatepark these days.
I briefly had black wheels with gold trucks but I’m holding Bingo responsible cos he sold them to me as an impressionable teenager. I remember he was very pleased to have sold them.
I am currently riding gold Aces.
Not by choice, but it was part of a Christmas complete I bought from someone.

Completely ground through his truck. Screengrab for lack of insta preview
How the hell did it not bend?!?
Look at much the wheel has worn has well compared to the otherwise
Wow, this is Danny Sargent level of truck erotism.
The skater spent 24 hours doing rideons
Grinding through your hanger is one thing but what’s the deal with grinding through the axle? Looks a bit sus to me, (or maybe I need my specs on).
Also, I’d hazard a guess that board has never left the ground.
What’s up with the rails on the tail/nose too? How slack can you get
Edit: I’ve ground down to the axle a few times. Then for a short while that truck grinds better than usual. Then the hanger cracks, then the axle bends and one wheel doesn’t spin anymore and you have to bin the truck.
