Had a G026 turn up this morning, keeping with 8.125” which I’ve been riding for years now but reducing the wb to 14”. Will likely try this next although I have a Cafe deck gripped and ready to go in the boot of my car.

Shape is nice and looks fairly short under my feet. Black bottom ply and like a beige top ply. Looks nice. Mike Carroll silver OG logo.

My board lives in the car boot

In the skate bag in bedroom cupboard :two_hearts:

Is it allowed in the house? It’s not gonna shit on the rug!

Mine is in the dining room.

I can’t be arsed to take it out of the car. When I do I tend to forget it and drive to the spot without it.

I always keep usable old decks in the back of the van, never know when you see the poor kid skating on a board who’s tails you can pluck like a harp.

It’s ready to go in case I snap my current deck*

My set up comes back inside with me and sits in my office so I can gaze at it lovingly.

*Ive not broken a board for over 20 years

The Pop Goblins come out at night and will steal your pop if you leave your board in the car. Everyone knows that!

That’s funny, I was just about to post about the ‘pop goblins’ stealing your pop. I thought it was a just a thing that my mates and I used but obviously not. Any idea where the term came from?*

*other than the fact that the pop goblins are clearly 100% real things and really do come out at night to turn decks across the land into unresponsive soggy weetabix.

A quick google and the first thing that comes up is this.

I don’t know about stealing your pop but this pop goblin is all about stealing your cash…$140 gtfoh.

I have no idea where it came from, but i’m the same and thought it was just something me and my mates used to say as kids!

Is it like the cheddar goblin from Mandy?

Evidence of morphic resonance in the skate scene…probably not

We always said pop goblin too. Im sure i might’ve read it in an interview in Sidewalk or Document or summat?
