I just thought it was some Swedish word or something.
google tells me nah.
I agree. Sounds weird/cheap or something that would come out of China. Similar when I first saw volcom ads, I thought they were some kind of power company trying to get into skateboarding somehow
Crob 8.25 twin tail, 14" wheelbase, is now in stock in the UK Crailtap store if anyone’s interested.
I can’t not think…
Me either. Even though I think those trucks are looking anything but buttery.
Unknown truck company
From Europe
Unlikely to be heard of in a year or two
Vallely got his Lurpiv tattoo yet?
Film are decent trucks, no reason why another Euro firm with a different approach can’t be decent either. How squared off they look is super weird but that’s because truck design has been stagnant for years.
Because Thunder created perfection and why change that
But how often do people buy new trucks? 1-3 years? I genuinely don’t know.
yeah 1-3 sounds right, it’s normally every 2 years for me
People are normally ferociously loyal to their truck company as well. Who was Oski on before this one? I suspect geometry will be much the same
I’d try them, they look like tracker trucks from 1980’s. Weird axle shape.
Lurpiv trucks look like old computer game graphics IRL
Ace I believe. With trucks, I can’t see how much innovation there’d be, other than making something that feels the same as an established brand like Indy, Thunder, Venture or Ace, but lighter and cheaper. Seems a bit gimmicky, like board construction. Those of us who are in a position to be able to afford premium titanium or magnesium trucks, super light board constructions, etc. aren’t the ones who’ll go through their gear that quick because they tend to be 30+ with a career, family, etc.
Jeans and shoes are different, because if they’re the wrong fit or just uncomfortable, then your head is wrecked. But trucks are easily fixed and forgetten about, either with new bushings or adjusting the kingpin. They’re not things we tend to engage with to the same extent.
Change my mind etc etc…
New Crob twin tail, 8.5, loving it. Nice to have that extra width under foot. Relatively new ace trucks as well, they grind so well. Might be interested in tensor atgs, apparently they’re great for slappies.
Anyone got a recommendation for some good wheels that won’t break the bank? Can’t really splash out £50 for some F4s as most my money should be going away for the nipper that’s on the way. Been using bones 100s but they’ve become too small now and kept getting flatspots so will probably avoid them.
Meanwhile Chris Roberts is still standing on the street outside his house trying to figure out which way round it goes.
Crupie are cheaper and I think are meant to be anti-flatspot.
Seen the crupie wheels, just don’t know anyone who’s actually tried them! Maybe I’ll have to take a punt
