Just realised that I’ve only seen one film on this years Oscars list so far, The Trial of the Chicago 7. So I might check out Promising Young Woman tonight. Cheers.

Watched Coming 2 America last night on someone on here’s recommendation who said it was good. Can’t remember who it was but shame on you.
(The caveat would be I bet the actors had an amazing time making it but watching it was a different story)
I only have to think about that film and I start welling up. Actually watching it would finish me.

I was a sucker for punishment and watched the creators of Watership Down’s follow up ‘Plague Dogs’ as a yoof too… ouch.
Watched Promising Young Woman last night. It dangled just enough carrots, that you got some things half right and just when you start to think you’re really clever or the film is being lazy, it would pull the rug from beneath you again and again. Really good film, I wouldn’t complain if Carey Mulligan won best actress for it.
