I dream about this sort of stuff happening to me

After the MSC Napoli ran aground in Dorset containers washed ashore in Devon and littered the beach with goodies - amongst the flotsam ā€˜salvaged’ by locals were a bunch of BMW motorbikes.

I occasionally see or hear a police or coastguard report asking people to stay away from a particular beach due to cargo being washed ashore. Always has to opposite effect than intended. The beach just ends up inundated with hopefuls.

There have been a few occasions where there have been reports of drugs being washed up and people make a bee-line down there. I can understand finding a bit of weed might be a bonus but deciding to salvage a big stash of coke has got to be a curse more than anything.

I was down in Brighton when this happened and people were ferrying planks up the beach and filling trucks, driving off, unloading and then coming back for more. It was all gone in a couple of days.

Yeah it’s literally how a jason statham movie would start.

That jogged my memory about this. It passed the time, was a little all over the place, but enjoyable enough.

I was about to comment that it sounds like the exact plot of Lock Stock but then I remembered the Stath is in that film

It’s hilarious that documentary.

Seriously.
I can watch anything and I love proper shite, but the whole tone was just ā€˜off’.

Watched Manchester by the Sea last night, I know something happens to get the film started obviously and something big happened in the past too, but in the short time frame the film is actually set in … did anything really happen or nothing? I still can’t work it out. Did he finally get closure, some sort of normality back? Was that it? Thats the best way I can word it without spoiling it.

I can’t remember, all I remember is that it absolutely broke me.

Aye, for sure, I’m not going to tell people why, let them learn the hard way too, oof.

God I remember seeing that in the cinema and that moment when you find out why he’s in the situation he’s in was so heavy

I liked to think he got a bit of closure and some hope at the end of the film, otherwise it’s just too bleak

It’s the scene in the police station that got me, where he tries to grab the gun. Just heart wrenchingly sad, couldn’t stop thinking about it for days afterwards.
