Great film that.

Have you seen either The Asassination of Jessie James by the coward Robert Ford or Hostiles? Both fantastic modern westerns

I watched North Hollywood and enjoyed it. It got slammed on Slap by a lot of people. I mean it’s not amazing but it kept my interest. Lots of cameos from pros, P-Rod, Reynolds, Worrest, Kader, Nakel, amongst others.

Enjoying thisā€¦ā€œFighting With My Familyā€

Really good film…On netflix now.

There Will Be Blood popped up on Netflix the other night so gave it a watch. Fucking hell what a film. Not seen hardly anything Daniel Day Lewis has done and I think I’m probably missing out. What are the really good ones?

Gangs of New York is good.

Pretty sure I have seen that but probably long enough ago that I can rewatch it knowing that I’ll have forgotten everything that happens. :+1:

Every time before I rewatch There will be Blood I think to myself, ā€˜it can’t actually be as good as you remember, the internet has made you think it’s a masterpiece’. And then I watch it and yes, it turns out it is a masterpiece

He won an Oscar for My Left Foot back in 1989. First time I saw it, I’d never heard of him, so I assumed, like his character Christy Brown, he had cerebal palsy.
Last of the Mohicans is pretty good too.
He puts in a good shift on Gangs of New York. Not the best film though, but still worth your time.

He’s fantastically moving in Dumb And Dumber 2.

Watched Tomorrows War. America saves the wold turned up to 11 with extra cheese on your burger. The plot line to pull on your heart strings made no sense, as the time travel story line was always going to change it, no matter what.

Black Widow.

Extremely ok.

Just had the debate on whether to spend £20 to watch that. I think I can wait.

And I also cannot wait to see this. The Director and DOP also worked on A Ghost Story which is one of my favourites.

Me too. I’m a sucker for Arthur stuff…

I saw it at actual cinema for £7, but yeah, do not spend £20 on it.

Great cast (David Harbour and Florence Pugh in particular), but IMO it’s nothing we haven’t seen done before and better by Marvel.
