Bond is brilliant. Make sure you don’t read any more about the plot or anything until you see it. Even better than Skyfall I thought.
They’re going to have to reboot the series after this, I don’t see how they can just swap out Daniel Craig and carry on with this type or Bond film.

It’s not like they haven’t done it before…a lot…

Well yeah, 15 years ago.

Roger Moore lasted 13 years and made a more films and they changed him up.

Timothy Dalton was a banging Bond. Most underrated one.

What film is that?

Mulholland Drive, an odd film that’s for certain but I do like it, I think!

My gf had never seen star wars, we watched it on Friday and to her surprise she really enjoyed it. Quite fun seeing her reaction to stuff. Wanted to watch Empire the next night.

Has she seen starship troopers?

If you convinced her to watch star wars then why not convince her to watch the best space movie ever made haha.

It is indeed a great film. On the list.

For me this is 100% the scariest scene I’ve ever watched in any film. Saw it in the cinema and absolutely pooped my pants, then spent the rest of the evening with a feeling of creeping dread. Have watched the whole film several times since and it still gives me goosebumps. It’s full of these “reveal the mechanics… then still do the trick” bits, but instead of taking you out of it (I) get more pulled-in and emotionally invested. As far as I’m concerned Mulholland Drive is impeccable.

I’m still on the fence with Lynch. Some ideas come across well and some just feel try hard and don’t come off but it’s the kind of stuff you can project whatever you want onto it and make your own mind up.
Mullholland is good but Lost Highway in particular did nothing for me. Students do their whatevers on it and it’s just a bit… I dunno, flimsy. But I get the idea.

I love his films but still feel as though I’m on the fence if that makes any sense at all. That bit with the cowboy in Mulholland Drive is just great as well, perhaps it’s a case of great moments but not a great overall package or satisfying feeling once they’re over.

Mullholland is definite top 5 ever for me. You’ve got to pay attention from second 1.

I’ve made loads of my friends watch it who all hated it and hated me for making them watch it but I think it’s fucking incredible.

I’ve still never watched any Star Wars films. One day. Maybe.

I’ve watched all the main Star Wars films other than the 1st one.

Don’t ask how this happened.

That’s great!
My flatmate would have a fit if someone told him that. He feels obliged to keep watching the new ones as they come out, even though he admits they’re mostly shite.

It’s a bit like telling folk that you’ve only read the first 3 Harry Potter books but then couldn’t be arsed to finish the series. Can cause certain folk to have a brain fart.

Yep, my thoughts exactly.

Star Wars: I’m glad they’ve turned the Obi Wan Kenobi exiled/watching over Luke years coming out into a TV series rather than a film, you’ll just get so much more and it’s probably the one film Disney could of banked on making money from too, if they had of gone that way.
