They’re pretty much the only fiction books I read and I only ever read them on holiday. They’re fun, silly and every so often one of the books has an intriguing mystery.

They’re basically westerns - lone man rides in to town, solves a mystery, breaks someone’s arm and then shags the hot cia agent sent to keep tabs on him

I thought the series was quite good fun, just utterly ridiculous. Why did they ever get Tom Cruise to play him in the films when he’s meant to be a comically large brick shithouse type.

I quite like them although theyre pretty formulaic. The latest few with his brother have been alright.

Interesting how Child was quite supportive on the announcement then back peddled

For reasons not fully understood even by myself I just watched Interceptor on Netflix. I’ve never seen a whole Steven Segal film but I kind of imagine they’re like this . Anyway it’s finished and I’ll never think about it again. Profoundly stupid but passed 90 minutes amiably enough and that’s all there is to say about that.

Starting on ITV4 now. Got it taping.

I think I’ve probably watched Predator at least once a year since it first came out on video in 1988. It’s a perfect movie.

I just found out that Bill Duke, who played Mac, also directed episodes of Dallas and Falcon’s Crest.

New Predator trailer looks interesting, expectations are pretty low so ready to be surprised. Nice to see them not go the macho route though

Yeah I like the idea of that as I’m guessing it links up with the Billy character in the original. That bear could’ve looked more realistic though :grimacing:

Fuck me that looks terrible.

Yeah reckon it’ll be shit but I like the fact they’ve tried to go somewhere a little bit different with it at least. Rather than army guys vs. Predator every time which was perfected with the first film

I think it looks like the most promising Predator film since Predator 2 (Which I like).
Predators was alright, wasn’t it? Probably should watch that again…

It definitely was nowhere near as bad as the AvP films, which were horrendous for both franchises.

Brilliant film! The Lighthouse is also very good @Snurp . Have you seen The Northman yet?

I’m a big Eggers fan.

They’re doing an alien series here in the UK soon. My Boss potentially has the prop making dept . Will be interesting to see where this goes script wise . Hope they don’t fuck it.

That Alien series has been on my TV series downloader for over a year now.

Meant to be set on earth pre-Aliens.

I hope it is good. Alien is my favourite film of all time.

Not yet. didn’t get round to the Lighthouse yet either. Need a bit of an EggersFest soon

Yeah it’s been on and off for a while but this year is the finally the year for production.

Even tho I’ll be on a different production I hope my boss gets it.

From what I’ve heard this is roughly the plot. … scroll towards the end .

You had me at “Fargo showrunner”

Watched The Hunt For Red October. Decent but takes a long time to get going and filled with massive plot holes. Might read the book to fill in the huge gaps.

Just watched the Godfather for the first time. Now for number 2!

Gross, just pause the film.
