Can’t argue with that. I’d we’d got more goals, the score would have been different.

@hugo you don’t think Southgate is lucky? We absolutely should not have had a penalty yesterday and the Dutch are right to feel aggrieved.

Should we?

Do Real Madrid win 4-0 every game when they have the best staff, budget and training facility in the world?

That’s not what I meant. I mean he didn’t luck his way into the job

Oh no fair enough. He got the job based on good years with the under 21s and building a relationship with the players. I can’t argue with that stuff at all.

Real Madrid win things though. And rotate their squad. And substitute players when they aren’t performing

What did the more successful club managers achieve before though? I agree it’s frustrating and so much of it has been horrible watching but I don’t see a valid alternative personally.

Oh we’re at the international-football-team-should-be-as-free-flowing-and-cohesive-as-Real-Madrid stage of patheticness are we? Cool cool cool.

You know it wasn’t the “Southgate out” side who brought that up right? :joy:

Seeing all the clips of Watkins goal and his face after scoring today is a mega stoke. Love him

The Southgate out side said England should be winning every game 4-0.

Yes they won La Liga, there were a lot of large score lines.

Very hungover today - it’s coming home

The answer is no, they don’t win every game 4-0 and neither should we

maybe we don’t need to win every game 4-0 (no one does at tournaments) but having 1 shot on target by the 75th minute in a Euro quarter final with a squad of this quality isn’t exactly desirable either
