Gone Skateboarding?

Maybe we should force each other to do it. I’d definitely need forcing and someone to film.

I’ll get 40 for 40 if you go for 48 for 48.

I’ll just plop a tripod down with my phone tbh. I’m not sure my level of dynamism is worthy of someone’s time

Filming on your own is so much easier and less stressful.
Whenever someone films me I feel like I’m wasting their time if it takes me more than 3 goes to do whatever it is I’m trying.

On the way to London for the 8pm session at Selfridges. It’s my 4th session in 2 days - went to BaySixty6 at lunchtime. My wife’s away for a couple of days with our daughters, and when she’s away I just work (busy at the moment) and skate, and fit a couple of dog walks in between working and skating and that’s it.

Amazing.

I love going for a quick morning sesh and then for a longer skate in the evening during summer when it’s hot as fuck. Can’t wait for that.

2 hours tonight. Then Stoke Plaza in the morning if all goes to plan.

Nothing really happened tonight but tried to throw a few different things out there with varying levels of failure.

Stoke Plaza early doors yesterday, it was windy (push and stop) and daughter was complaining so we only stayed for 30 minutes. Went to the local indoor last night for an hour and a half which was ok. Legs tired after Friday night so the last hour was a struggle.

Even though I’ve not fallen or slammed for maybe a couple of weeks I feel battered this morning, knees, feet and ankles are really sore. Need a few days off.

i went for a roll this morning. not a cloud in the sky. ended up at the skatepark without really meaning to - the pavements leading to it felt nice.
carving about with a big stupid grin on my face was a delight.
lay under a pink blossom tree for half an hour afterwards. bliss to be alive etc

Organised a thrift market at my local indoor park with a mate yesterday and therefore spent the day there. Spent a fair amount of time with a kid who as about 12, taught him how to front board the flat rail and feeble fakie on a quarter pipe. He bought two of my old boards, immediately set one of them up and seemed so stoked. He was shy at first but he had really good questions about how to do tricks, you could tell he was smart and passionate. Made me happy as a lot of teenagers often seem pretty lost and depressed these days, or at least that’s how it seems to me.

Fun skate in the sun this morning at Fender and then DIY .

People just kept appearing to join in the session.

Sunshine and good vibes with good people.

Managed to get a couple of simple tricks that I hadn’t really tried before.

Despite feeling a little wrecked I ended up skating again a little bit during the kids lesson at the indoor earlier. Rucked it doing an ollie over one of those plastic skate shop benches. Daughter learnt cartwheels, jumps up the euro gap and over the hip. On her roller skates of course. Happy days.

Not far from where I did my first drop in. Just by Bidston station around '91 there was a bunch of retail units which were subsiding, there was a crack in the floor and it was a mellow V shape. There was a rather rough DIY park with a rather rough mini ramp (think stolen road signs for the surface) inside. Eat shit first attempt, as you do…There ya go, a little bit of Wirral skate history…

Skated loads last 2 weeks, bugs back - waited a couple of years to feel like this since the Ballroom went - few new bits in Botley Bowl today.

Something about skating in an Adi Toon Shirt, Adi trackies and Adi gonz shoes makes me feel a g hahaha

I’ve actually gone skating but don’t actually feel like skating. Im sure it’ll be alright.

Just plain white tee and light blue denim here. A bit old fashioned but you know…
