Gone Skateboarding?

Out last night and again tonight. Fucking battered but hey, why not push yourself?

Pretty good skate tonight. Felt sharp on my board, but more importantly, lots of lovely people were at the park and the atmosphere was just great. Really enjoying every minute on my board before having surgery and not skating for about 5 weeks. I can skate until next Thursday but I already can’t wait to get back on my board. :upside_down_face:

Out tonight too, with @KeithBeef

Been a stressful week so needed the opportunity to behave like a child and make noises like a moron. Sore now

Day 3…did more jumping…lots of jumping in fact. Personal highlight for me was a 360 kickflip fakie on the flat bank, but defo don’t under estimate the effort required to ollie, front 180 and then back 180 a box from the top of a flat bank at 48. Took too many attempts to nail the first two and no prize for the back 180, but I’ll return for that.

Just about to get the icepack out, the ankle I sprained in November isn’t impressed.

I went out to the local warehouse project last night. They have some very small quarters and boxes, but that’s enough for the limited space. Had a good skate and im starting to feel like I’m getting more mobility in my right leg.

Not quite upto Mike’s dedication of skating every night yet.

Possibility to go to the indoor today in a couple hours. -13 with a feels-like of -19? No thanks. Still have a stinking cold as well. Haven’t skated in a good couple of months.

Even just going is a start. Must be really difficult to get any warmth into your legs at those temps though.

Is this it?

Looks fun. Taking a break today. I’m really tired and various parts of my body are moaning at me. Si nollie big heeled the box about 3 times whilst I was trying to back 180 it…ability gulfs eh?

Had a real good session at the new bowl in Norwich yesterday. So stoked to have that on my doorstep. Also saw Scalamere which was a great surprise!

-7 is my limit. And to think when I was in UK +7 was my limit!

The RAINBOW swag lord?

He sort of told me off for collecting stickers when I was at one of the Rollersnakes events :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Yeah. He was telling me streaming sessions will be the future of skating last night.

He’s a nice guy. But wrong!

I’m getting my gallbladder removed tomorrow and won’t be able to skate for 5ish weeks after that. I got a mini cold since Saturday but I had to go for a last skate this evening. It was cold and I was far from feeling sharp but I’m so glad I went out. I skated for half an hour just doing basics that feel good, then pushed myself and thought I’d end the session with a ten-trick line. Got that fairly quickly and put the icing on the cake with a bonus flatground trick which felt sooo good. I was so hyped on that, I actually recorded a voice note mentioning the tricks I did on my phone. I’m gonna listen to that and relive that moment if I miss skating too much these next weeks.
