Gone Skateboarding?

They had to do my dads operation twice, the thing they put in him, they managed to pull back out when removing a tube to close up.

Should be out today.

I tell anyone who will listen about it.

And you thought it was impossible to cut a sliver of clingfilm only 1cm wide?

Well.

Let me show you something that will blow your mind

Genuinely has been a point of argument in my relationship for 17 years. Until my wife finally caved.

It’s like Powell Swiss or Bones Wheels, once you try it there is no way you can go back

Yeah these are so good couldn’t be easier to use, and yet somehow the family still manage to make a right bollocks of it. I’ll come to use it and the end is nowhere to be found so then it’s a whole rigmarole for me to get it sorted.

Wrong thread ffs :man_facepalming:

Because of your bile acid malabsorption?

Because of the weather.

Thankfully I can’t blame my time spent on the loo for my lack of skating just yet

I haven’t skated since Wednesday and already miss it. Oh well. Health first. I’ll be back on my board soon.

Can I just give a shout out to Mrs Mike, who sounds like the most supportive skate wife ever. Fancy a swap Mike?

Haha, I did go skating tonight. I’m out a lot but am actually there more now I’m not drinking if that makes sense. She knows where I am - I’m literally 12 minutes away and she knows it is doing me good. Plus you guys haven’t seen the household chore list she’s written for me to do tomorrow morning

Defo not skating tomorrow, but heading over to the Repent showing which should be fun.

Had a pretty rough skate tonight. Tired and hurt my shin last night and sadly it killed off some aspects of my session. However I did manage to turn it around and get f/s 50-50s on the outledge which have scared me silly for no reason for too long. Basic but its an irrational fear conquered.

Tried to skate an indoor tonight, have had this weird excruciating pain that comes and goes right in my pelvis/groin. Weirdly pops when I cough. Fully killed this evening, couldn’t do anything and focused my board. First time in ages I’ve lost it and done that.

-1 fucking idiot.

Went graystone the other night. Then had to get a layback

Ok wasnt me but Msl got one

Been a couple of times this week and find myself getting seriously out of breath surprisingly quickly - like leaning against the wall trying to get my breath back.

Turns out it’s to do with my diet, I’ve been trying to lose the spare tyre around my gut, and I’m 4 weeks in and 18lb down.

Apparently when your body doesn’t get the energy it needs from food it switches into something called ketosis, where it starts burning its own fat. Which is good - but it also makes your breath and your piss smell weird, and it kills your stamina in high-energy exercise.

Midlands folk - check out The Drop Inn space in Digbeth, a couple of streets over from Ideal.

Brilliant mini ramp and lots of moveable ramps/ledges/rails.

Open every Saturday-Sunday 1-6pm. £3 donation.

Run by Birmingham Skate Spaces (same crew behind Bournbrook DIY in Selly Oak).

There is also a proper bar there with Camden Hells/IPA on tap!

What more could you ask for?!

Dude :frowning: I felt like that last Friday. Nothing working out and said to my mate I felt like putting my foot through my board  Ended up just trying Cabs on flat that I’ve never done before for a few tries in order to take away the feeling of not landing routine stuff, felt a bit better after that.

Went out last night, couldn’t be arsed when I got there so lurked until the park was empty and skated for the last 20 minutes. Its been ages since I’ve skated alone and it was quite nice. Back out again tonight, should be fun.
