Ahh that sucks. Last time for me was Voltarol.
Anyone ever gone on a skate trip by themselves? Struggling to find much enthusiasm for actually going skating amongst some of my friends at the minute.
Went to visit a mate in HK back in 2003 or so and then went mainland China on my own with skateboard. It was awesome. People are overrated
Yeah Barcelona twice on my own in the last 8 years and it was great to bomb around the city on your own schedule , no waiting for people to get out of bed late , hit the spots you want etc . Plus you always end up talking to the local skaters and making new friends and randomly bumping into old faces who are out there too.
Devon this weekend
Update on my new ‘little and often’ approach to skating. It makes a HUGE difference. I skate maybe 20 minutes to half an hour a day now, every day. I went twice today- once to my little local park at lunchtime and once to BaySixty6 after work.
The total time I spend skating now is about the same or less than the longer once a week sessions I used to do, but instead of 4 longer sessions a month, now it’s around 25 short ones. Before I was trying to manage decline: now I’m making progress every day.
I usually have maybe four or five tricks I work on every day. I start off trying to make the trick in ten goes or less, then after a couple of days I try to make it in seven, then five, then three. Then I try to make it twice in a row, then three, then five, then every time. I normally achieve one breakthrough in a session, even if it’s a small one and even though I’m still not very good now. But I’m getting better.
Hell yeah two skates a day is what’s up.
Been out tonight with the lads - no skating for me as still fucked but full ‘civilian outfit’ post-work hammer lurk. Big up Mashlife and Wakefield heads for welcoming everyone.
This dude rules.
Realised I have a weekend free on my own, sooo much to do but I could try and find some time to have a roll.
Went out on my lunchbreak and did 10 nollieflop kickturns.
Not 1 popped and not 1 degree turned in the air
Chepstow? So rough it’s pretty much a street spot now.
Yup. Ground is absolutely fucked.
It’s the only vaguely skateable thing/place near me without a car though.
Still pretty fun, went there last year. Pumping round the bowl is exhausting…and slow
The bowl is absolutely horrible. I don’t even look at it when I’m there.
teach me to nollie flip damnit. cannot do that fucking trick
Obviously neither can I! My board must be flipping under the surface of the bank. No idea how it’s spinning around with no pop.
Before I completely killed myself doing a crook on the same ledge by missing and somehow flying 3 feet in the air landing back on my board then slipping out
Dawlish is always a fun little skate
Very fun! Had a good time at Exeter arena today as well
