He actually wouldn’t. Rightly or wrongly free speech isn’t protected by law in this country, as it is in the US constitution for example.
I just still cannot believe this whole cladding debacle, it should be settled in the courts if you ask me and leaseholders having to pay is absolute scandal.

I worded it kind of haphazardly, I suppose. He’d be allowed at the time, but could likely be charged with any number of offences based on what he was saying and how loud he was saying it.
How the customer has to pay for the designer , manufacturer , developer , housing association and building regulations officer’s failings is absolutely beyond me.
It’s been a con and swindle from the minute these decisions to build /clad people’s homes were made and should be paper trailed back to them.
But big property owners are tories and have Tory links. So fuck the people and save their bank balance

I read this story, and it made me despair. How can they just let people who bought those flats suffer with the escalating bills?
I need to read more about it, as it feels like no one is ever held accountable, but surely that can’t be the case.

Not disagreeing with what they’ve done here and I don’t know what the answer to it is but Facebook/Zuckerberg havng this kind of political clout all over the world is all wrong.
But it’s people and organisations choosing to use these platforms. It’s quite amateurish… These platforms are businesses, and nobody has a right to be able to use them. They should come up with their own platform, or messaging system.
Imagine trying to organise a coup (or oppress a population) and suddenly seeing your auntie complain about the amount of dogshit on the streets these days.

Humans love convenience and social media platforms are just that convenience and the owners know it, they got the globe hooked at the same time. Ultimate power move.
Ain’t shit we can do about it unless we have a global electrical shut down.
Or have a government like China .
Well it needs breaking up somehow, just way too much power concentrated in too few hands. The Murdoch empire was bad enough but this is another level.
Or if the social media giants continue to kick off dangerous individuals and organisations. Plenty of developing nations consider Facebook to be the entirety of the internet.
People understanding that these things are businesses and exist to make money will be a start.
It’s gonna be a long time and long power struggle, especially as the public now use Facebook for work, marketing, advertising, shopping and news as they seem to have forgotten there was a world before Facebook and can’t go without it.
So if countries try to come down and restrict Facebook the nation will be up in arms cos they’ll have to find friends/customers/work/business the old way . Just not convenient in this modern age
