I’ve heard from people working on the HS2 works that they are way too far in to stop now. The amount of money already given to land owner is astronomical apparently.
I can’t imagine them stopping what they’ve started.
I’ve heard that as well, I feel like you could make a case for the project itself, maybe, but the cost is truly preposterous and only seems to go up and up, so much so that it would surely become tricky to make cuts in other areas with it still going ahead.

Streaming services have stopped this totally for me but I’m sure we’ve all been guilty in the past. I never finished Lost though even if I was actaully invested in it at one point.
Lost made the veins in my forehead throb, I was fucking infuriated by it, complete waste of time even though I gave up about 3 series in

I had a cursory Google but I’m still confused.
Why is trump threatening Iran? Obviously he’s just awful, and it’s a power play, but what is he claiming to be the actual reason for the posturing?
Rocket was fired that landed close to US Embassy in Baghdad and it is suspected that it was launched by militias that have backing from Iran. So Trump has waded in and and basically said if Iran wants a fight we’ll give them one.
At least that’s a simplistic summary, it obliviously is also the culmination of tension between Trump and Iran that has been going on this past year…
A war might take the heat off the supreme court wanting to call people up to the stand over the Mueller report and getting hold of his taxes, which he is denying them from doing. Can only be a selfish move.
I think everyone sees through that apart from his base. I was just interested to learn what is the actual diplomatic ‘logic’ behind it. HH’s reply seems to make sense!

As much as Trump is a knob, I don’t think he’d start a war to detract from the investigation. He’s either guilty or not and the truth will come out, even if there are distractions.
