The change happens when they stop supporting him
If she was really badass she would have offered her hand to shake then pulled it away at the last minute. (Insert gif)

I know but itâs better than bidenâs approach
I hope youâre right.
Iâm not expecting much just hoping really
Manchester police not covering themselves in glory. I know it must be tough and dangerous but this is messed up. The guy is in hospital now with a brain cyst
Thereâs a longer video where they hit a guy with a tazer, shove an old woman etc
Bound to happen I suppose, hope they can keep on top of it though.
The French are world leaders in tyre burning protests. While we just grumble about everything
Posted this in the Olympics thread but apparently there are loads of tickets for events left. Are the French really against holding them and boycotting? As I remember you couldnât get a ticket here for the London ones.
London ones there was a raffle or something months in advance and it was a shot to nothing to get something actually good.
Although I ended up with football finals and womenâs beach volleyball so canât complain.
Sold the football tickets as it seemed a bit meh. Why isnât olympic football taken as seriously as the world cup? (Serious question)
Because itâs essentially an under 23 competition in a huge event with dozens and dozens of other things to watch.
Football has major tournaments all over the world all the time
Olympic football doesnât register on any level. It just shouldnât be in the Olympics.
I thought that was allotted tickets for U.K. people only? Or did the whole world have to enter it? Not sure that would have worked. So tickets would have been still for sale, no?
Along the lines of the football question, wasnât the Olympics originally for non professionals, which is why boxers are amateurs? Why is there a weird mix of some sports being amateur and other top level professionals?
I would like to know this as well. There must be an easily digestible YT documentary on it.
Its something do with purity isnt it. Doing it for the love of sport.
So boxing is 100% amateur i believe.
Cuban boxers I guess were/are not allowed to turn pro so whilst good amateurs fell off to turn pro, Cubans had to stick around and get good.
Football has that weird under 23 rule.
Apart from that weird actual wrestling thing the stan countries are into I canât think of any other restrictions on participation. Might be loads though.
Would be interesting to go through the list of sports to see if the Olympics is the pinnacle of itâŚif it isnât it should go.
The vast majority of sports would pass that smell test but there would definitely be noteable exceptions.
A quick google tells me Andy Murray turned pro in 2005 and won the Olympics in 2012 and 2016 hmmm⌠all the usual tennis suspects have won it too as pros.
So I guess you can be professional in tennis.
And Athletics
Basketball is all the top folk.
I think outside of football and boxing, every sport can have top level pros in it.
Some sports i guess just donât really have pros in the sense thereâs not much money in it because itâs such a niche sport (like rowing/shooting/archery/rugby sevens etc).
No doubt there are people in there living off endorsements/state grants and are superstars in that sports world.
Then there are sports where the top level pros simply wonât see the Olympics as any sort of priority, like road cyclists, golfers, tennis players and dare I say it, skateboarders.
Then you have the majority of sports where the Olympics has the best people in it competing for the biggest prize in their sport. Thatâs where it gets good/interesting.
A really interesting one is Antoine Dupont who shocked the rugby world by not playing in the 6N to concentrate on playing for the Olympic sevens team instead. An unusual move but it was his dream.
It would be like Messi not playing for Argentina on his prime to get his local 5 a side a trophy or something.
When did he not play in that? Donât follow Rugby but thatâs a pretty big deal for him to sack off, I know who he is haha
This year, but he still played for Toulouse.
Find out if it pays off today. Sevens semis at 2.30.
I havenât watched any Sevens but it sounds like hes been killing it as hard in that format as anything. The guy is an absolute freak.
I could be wrong because I havenât been following it too closely, but didnât the guy who got kicked put 3 police in hospital while resisting arrest, including a policewoman with a broken nose?
