But she did consider being a teacher before she married Vince and followed his family business…aged 17

I’m sure I’ve outed myself as a wrestling fan before, but to put it most simply wrestling is a morality play within a soap opera. The soap opera because of the melodramatic storylines that stretch without pause back to at least the 50s. The morality play is the actual “wrestling”.

I’m a huge fan of gursky however this is one of his most boring photos ever. His exhibition at the Haywood gallery a few years back was amazing. His works are made with large format cameras so the prints are like 10 feet high and there was amazing ones of crowds where you could see detail on each face! One of those artists where you need to see it printed to appreciate it I think. Stuff like this looked amazing:

I actually met Henry Kingsford at that exhibition whilst queueing to get a ticket.

Ah I didn’t realise it was by that guy, I’ve sat and stared at that stock exchange photo for ages (or maybe a very similar one?). Yeah the Rhine II pic does nothing for me though.

Edit: it probably would do more for me if I saw it irl, ten foot wide, I guess. I suppose we’re not getting the best view of it here to be fair.

They sum this up really nicely at the start of the recentl Mr McMahon doc on Netflix.

Well worth a watch for anyone who hasn’t seen it yet by the way.

If I had Netflix I’d definitely watch it, however from what I’ve heard from wrestling Reddit it actually shies away from much of the worst stuff he did.

He’s an absolute helmet but a really fascinating and compelling personality. Not sure if it’s covered in the documentary, but my favourite two facts about him are that sneezing (either him or anyone else) made him really angry because you should be able to control what your body does, and that someone said the word “burrito” once in a storyboard meeting, and he wouldn’t let them use that particular detail because he didn’t know what it was and thought nobody else would either. This is despite his secretary bringing him a steak burrito for his lunch every day.

Do you watch AEW @Jurwell

They had to stop filming for the documentary bc the allegations about Vince came out mid way through.

Probably explains why they don’t go into too much detail.

Rarely, but I keep up with what’s happening. Crazy seeing so many people I’ve watched wrestle in a Nottingham sports hall getting international recognition.

Who was it that posted on here about Greg Wallace during the Huw Edwards rumours?

He has alway been a letch , creeping out the runners , also cracked on to my mate over 10 years ago , think it was around the time he was not long married with his new young wife .
My mate told me he would constantly message her how he wanted to be with her etc being a total perv and creep .

Really surprised it’s not been a worse story especially as he like a big age gap .

Absolute fabricant

Turns out it was me!

The colleague in question left last year under a bit of a storm, I’m desperate to let him know.

I can’t remember what it was on but Gregg revealed he never wears underpants of any kind.

Any time he’s on screen I’m duty bound to point out that out to my wife who does a little sick in her mouth every time.

I’m actually a bit gutted, always loved a bit of Greg ‘buttery biscuit’ Wallace

I’m more surprised there was anyone in the UK (including his family I imagine) that even vaguely liked him than of any allegations that have come out.

The guy is clearly an absolute top grade twat.

How anybody, whether famous like him or a regular joe, thinks they can get away with this always surprises me.

A lot has changed in the last 10 years , but it’s still prevalent in the industry unfortunately amongst crew and I’ve had colleagues come to me telling me about incidents involving supervisors recently, which now we’re gathering more people who’ve encountered similar situations to bring a strong case against said fabricants and hopefully dismissals or “leaves the dept” .
