Just remembered Julien Stranger and Joey Tershay were there too.

Man I’m slow off the mark. I immediately went off and checked the credits of Hot Wheels and Big Deals to see if Tim was in the section with Calico Suit. Of course he wasn’t. Came back and @buildafire had posted the vid up… cogs slowly turned and…the penny drops. Oh, I get you. Very good
Incidentally, from my first viewing of Hot Wheels that part was always my favourite bit.
my colleagues think im a Michael Fabricant too
Zak Ove is one of the skaters in Hot Wheels and went to school with Bod Boyle.
His father, Horace Ove made the BBC skate doc’ ‘Skateboard Kings’ a year later which very subtly parodies the cult of celebrity around the Alva/Dogtown scene in my opinion.
Horace Ove is a very interesting character and a pioneering black British filmmaker of much repute.

Cmon, stop beating about the bush and spill the beans on Alva being a prick
I remember staying with my grandparents and seeing Skateboard Kings when it first aired. Got proper stoked on that.
Wow! Never seen those.
Hot Wheels was also the film that played before Grease, when Grease showed in U.K. cinemas.
Few more from Friday’s forum at UCL.
In order:

Forgive the self fellation here but this was a hugely significant event in my opinion so we might as well contribute to the permanent web footprint.

Really enjoyed the forum. Was great to hear all those guys talk about those times.
All very humble about being such an important part of UK skateboarding.
The Alva show was luckily reigned in when it started to take over the conversation. Typical it was him that felt the need to stand up to talk.
The exhibition was amazing. So many great photos and boards.
The zine is a great read and a really good way to commemorate the event. Great work @buildafire
Massive props to everyone involved. Such an amazing event.
Whoa.
