As it’s the season, a
-inspired mixtape I did 15 years ago…
Just come back from seeing DJ Pinch and Trim play at a bar just down the road for free. Was well good. Even if I was the oldest person in the room. ![]()
I double dropped and listened to this, many, many, many years ago. Got a copy of Oxtrumentals in the loft too. Great album.
Been on a nineties kick this afternoon. I was reminded of a few songs I heard from an NME tape “This is Fort Apache” which I almost wore out
Which lead to a dive on Discogs and a reminder of the sublime Bettie Serveert. Saw them support Buffalo tom so picked up the Palomine 30th anniversary for a good price
Had this on tape, taped off a Peel show. Would love this but starting price £200
Sod it I downloaded the audio off youtube
Dude put a load of 90s/2000s UK hip hop mixtapes here. Louis Slipperz 10 pound bag, DJ Yoda, WordLab, Blufoot etc.
Just saw Cabaret Voltaire live and it was incredible.
Just listened to Red by King Crimson for the first time. Every now and then I try and listen to a whole KC album all the way through to see if I can enjoy a whole one, somehow never tried this one. This is the first one that I’ve fucking LOVED.
First track sounds like prog Shellac. I guess it’s the other way round. Anyway, it’s fucking sick.
Do you have a record player? @Snurp
Yeah I do
Want 3 x King crimson LPs? 1 has a cover, the other 2 just (new) inners. Saved them from being dumped at the end of my street. The vinyl is in really good nick. Just bung me the postage.
In the court of….
In the wake of posiedon
Earthbound (has cover)
If you don’t no worries ill give them to a charity shop
Apparently his fabric live cd is one of the best, it’s pricey now when most of then are dirt cheap
£86
Edit- I didn’t know he died. Heart attack at 45. Harsh
Sick! That’s a really nice offer but I dount it will be worth the hassle of international shipping for you. I already have ITCOCK too. Thanks anyway mate!
Ah didn’t know you were not in the UK
After using only mixcloud for years I wanted to stick a few mixes on YT to see how they did, imagine my surprise when my mix got 20,000 views. I thought I had broken through and dint know that it always boosts your first couple of posts to see who likes it, I put a few more things up but they didn’t get the same visibility and so have only a fraction of the views, anyway by means of saying hello again, here is a few reggae mixes
This first one is a Jah Shaka tribute mix with tunes that i remember him playing at his legendary sessions. Shaka passed away in 2023 and is hugely missed within the scene
This one is new roots out of Jamaica
