I’ve barely digested his last album which only came out 6 months ago, and now he’s back with more

I just searched blood incantation because me and load just smashed some happy hour espresso martinis and saw them in Sydney. Fuck me it’s a good show, they’re fuckung heavy too. Relax a bit and prog for a while, you’re missing out and your’re you’re wrong, if anything the bits you don’t like make the bits you do like hit harder but also the bits you don’t like are fucking sick.

Their live show sounds just as good as the album but that might not draw you in if you do t like the album

Listen to previous album hidden history tho. I think you’d like that and it has my favourite cover art

It’s not prog it’s COSMIC you have to remember it’s COSMIC ok

Speaking of far out metal

Bought this recently, it’s fucking incredible. Cathedral’s ‘lost’ final recording from a few years ago, rediscovered and now released by their singer Lee Dorian on his own label, Rise Above (side question… has anybody been to his shop, somewhere in north London, Rise Above records? I need to go)

Interested to hear this. I love some Cathedral.

Anyone into Sleaford Mods, I’m really digging that new tune

Or am I kidding myself and its just noise?

I’ve warmed to them over recent years. That one they did with Orbital was brilliant.

i don’t even know where to begin responding to this tbh

i don’t dislike proggy stuff in general. blood incantation just don’t flick my bean.

i’m on a massive melodic death metal kick at the moment. Orbit Culture are killing it

edit - just for you i’ll try the previous album again

Any London heads going Catford tomorrow?

Doing that early doors then the big ambient session after if so

I’m in London tomorrow, going to this

There was talk of Loefah, Kode 9, Tim Reaper afterwards in Shoreditch but not sure if I’m too old to be out that late.

Until yesterday I had never heard of this band or this album and it’s now all I can listen to:

I was being overly excited, on reflection I think you can be allowed to not like them. That’s actually pretty normal.

Had the house to myself all day, decided to listen to all The Ocean albums in chronological order. Tired now.

Not sure how much people here like their deathy / melo deathy stuff but Avatar dropped a new album last week and it’s absolutely brilliant. Heavily underrated band from Sweden (the land of the best music)

Anyone else been listening to the new Lausse the Cat Album? I’ve had it on repeat for the last few days.

I’m finding AR a hard listen these days, but I’ll have to make some time to go through his album he released earlier this year.

Still unpacking Float 25 years or so later tbh

I think Black Hole Superette is a stronger album than this new one. But there’s great tracks on both.

I’m not a regular listener of Aesop (or hip-hop in general) these days, but every time I revisit him I’m like, why don’t I listen to his stuff more often. I just love his vocal delivery, even if I often don’t know what tf he’s talking about
