Mate I was sooo into electronic music back then. I mean, I still am, but back then… beyond obsessive.

I was sooo into it by that point that I was pretending to be over it for cool points

That graphic design is such a snap shot of that period in time.

I don’t know anything about Andrea Parker, except I have one of her cds and it’s good stuff.

Any more I should check?

Windows media player no longer finds album info. This probably only affects, the last person ripping cds.

Not very familiar myself tbh. If you’ve got that compilation then you’ve probably heard more of her stuff than I have. I have a couple bits on her Touchin Bass label and her ‘Angular Art’ ep with David Morley. That ‘Ballbreaker’ 10” really did it/does it for me tho.

I still rip cds. How did Windows fuck up so badly? They had it all. Maybe Gates was away somewhere…

I got a 12” by her on mowax, listened to it a couple of times in the 90s, can’t remember what it sounds like, and coincidentally sold it a couple weeks ago. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the information. Noted and logged

Spoof adverts in this one are fucked :joy:

Funnily enough, I just got the ‘A to Z of the Designers Republic’ book, and you can really see their influence

Both Sheffield design agencies. Dust Studio did those for us. Martin Dust of The BlackDog was one of their designers.

Re up for this classic (just repressed)

Random story, I lost my copy at a dj night in Brixton, a week or so later I went to the southbank opening jam and someone was playing it. Went over to the decks and saw one of the djz from my night playing it. After he gave it back “I was looking after it for you “ sure. Francois was there. Saw Tom penny and we skated drunk back to Brixton, for a curry probably

A heavy tune is a heavy tune! Vibe on.

Makes me think of Skepta’s freestyles over it -

“I went to your girls birthday party with a 9mm it’s madness,
She said Skepta don’t cum inside me, so I bust on the mattress”!

Gotta be the pinnacle of early dubstep, or whatever its called

Glowing Palms did a cover of it for Ruf Kutz a few years back

one of my all time favourite things to emerge from 2000s dubstep is the Kode 9 & Wiley Rinse FM set. It’s like the first time Wiley is exposed to it and he goes off on one
