Couple of favourite releases

Ahhh great taste. Like @tbk11 I’m a massive fan of Toasty and his hot flush releases. Plus all the obvious stuff like earlier DMZ

I should really start selling some vinyl. It’s sat there collecting dust

I sold most of my tempa stuff a few years ago. Sold Newstep by Benga on cd last month which is another good one

Sold my Ruff Sqwad stuff for less than I should have. Don’t want to check how much it’s worth now

However much I sell I always buy more though, ebay addiction…

Latest bargain. £12 the lot. God knows when I’ll listen to it all. 3rd in is what I was looking for..collab with Alice coltrane

Was an exciting time for UK music back then. Love a lot of the stuff mentioned above, but for me this guy was chronically underrated.

yeah underrated for sure. every release was absolute gold. i wonder what they’re worth now

Ordered - thanks for the info! Brings back good memories of what was a heady time. I remember walking into my first dubstep night and really got the vibe of a '93 jungle do, which I never thought I’d feel again.

I fucking love all that Santana stuff, even the drippy cosmic bollocks on Welcome and Caravanserai. The Coltrane and Mahavishnu collab stuff is gold. Well done for your fine acquisitions. Right I’m off to listen to the 15-minute drum solo on the triple-vinyl Lotus live in Japan album.

Abraxas is one of my top 3 stoner albums I’d say but haven’t dug v deep into their other stuff

Props to Carlos for keeping it together on a headfull of lysergic here

Rad, I must have watched that Woodstock show a million times, if the stories are to be believed then they were told they weren’t playing until the wee hours of the morning so they dropped acid, then they got told they were actually on in half an hour, and Carlos played guitar while his fretboard transformed into a snake and was trying to wriggle out of his hands.

There’s a rad documentary on the youtubes about them prepping for their Lotus tour, best bit is the bass player getting high af at home, doing the coolest ‘keep on truckin’ walk to his super-long and super-lowered 70s Citroen, climbing in through the sunroof and setting off in the most reclined position possible, he can’t even see over the wheel

Amazing as always

I’ll have a look for that doc later!

I’m well acquainted with that Woodstock story, amazing. Got the full film on dvd. Love the who set followed by jimi at dawn. My uncle knows someone who was there

An excellent YouTube suggestion
