Eh, I don’t mind BoC, but yeah they’re pretty overrated. Can’t help but feel that the buzz about their return is being amplified with all these cryptic marketing hints. What if they’d just dropped a new album with no buildup? It better be good.
I wouldn’t say overhyped but their diehard fan online persona is wearing. But I guess all fans can be silly.
I was disappointed with Tomorrow’s harvest for a good while whereas MHTRTC is a classic amongst the most classic of classics, whether you have heard it or not.
Haha, it’s even funnier now he looks a bit like goth Harry Hill.
No, I was imagining you disappearing into dry ice
Ah! Nah, I’m more like,.
Dances badly away from you into the dimly lit toilet area.
Not seen this before. Sabbath in 2000, first reunion. Maybe the best I’ve ever heard them. Bill on drums makes a huge difference
Got the DVD of that.
The ‘Reunion’ double CD from then was a really, really good show, too.
It did have two brand new tracks on it, also - OG lineup. They weren’t very good.
Also…
Excited for new BOC.
The VHS tape leaks, new post on their insta yesterday and website updating all suggests some rumblings of release.
And with the HQ leaks of lots of old tapes of theirs, it might end up being official releases of those, maybe?
Or maybe that was part of the hype to get people listening again before a new album?
It’s record store day today. Heading in to a few spots…Lets see if anything happens.
The BOC reddit is hilarious, screenshots taken from the latest video releases like they’re trying to decipher an alien language or an Aramaic language bible found in a pyramid. There is no ARG this time, just videos, but it’s not stopped them.
Been on a voyage into cosmic black metal. My current obsession, I find it soothing. Here’s a few sick albums I found
Keen for more recs if anyone is into the scary stuff.
Wondering what the drummer makes of that mix…
“Yeah we turned you right down and covered it all in cathedal reverb, sounds good huh?”
Glad people still make crazy stuff like this even if it isn’t my thing. Actually on track 2 of the first one now, its growing on me
One man band, I assume he’s ok with it ![]()
There’s a couple other good albums which apparently have vocals but they’re so far back in the mix it just sounds like distortion. It’s a choice I guess.
BoC new album info all out. Their design has always been cheesy but they leant into it this time.
Sunny Saturday soundtrack
Saw Kristin Hersh I think in 1994, she played a Throwing Muses set first with the band then came back on and played solo. Utterly mesmerising
On another subject
What was that song on that one Nick Jensen part?
Never did find out
