Their last album was mostly fine, way better than the 2015 album, but this new stuff is sounding really great so far, reminds me of their older music
Strangers album was really really terrible so I didn’t even consider the latest one. I do really like We were Dead though.

Interesting! Strangers to Ourselves is probably my favourite record of theirs, everything about it clicked for me. I did enjoy their last album too, but I felt like there were a few tracks that were quite meh.
The new singles have a bit of a Moon and Antarctica feel to them, I think.

I just didn’t gel with Strangers at all, it felt very by numbers to me. Tbh other than a handful of tracks I haven’t loved anything they’ve done since ‘We were Dead’ and that was like 2007 (which I thought was too over-produced at the time but has since moved into my top 3 MM albums).
But yeah agree, I really like these recent tracks, it bodes well for a late career highlight.

Mate, I felt the same re the production. I still love We were Dead, but I don’t listen to it as much as the others… despite it having a few of my favourite tracks of theirs on there.

I didn’t mind the production on We were dead as it felt raw with it too, he had no pride in his vocal which I liked and the songs were there, catchy riffs and phrases all over the place.

So probably one LP’s worth of bangers across 3 LP’s like most rap LP’s have a couple good things these days?
I gave Ice Man a quick listen last night and that Ran To Atlanta beat is only thing that grabbed me as really good. I don’t have the stomach for it too often these days. Will consult the bin lids for their opinions
