Never noticed the release of this…

I grabbed it earlier. The album is (almost) beat-less throughout and it’s quite refreshing. Kinda good right now while I am working but I probably need to give it a few listens.

New Burial is like someone trying to do Burial. Never really been a fan but some stuff was nice.

This made me laugh and then cry a bit.

Ah fuck it, I’m not doing much today so a bit of a hack might liven things up.

junior smashing it with this release

New Four Tet albums are really good.

Never thought I’d be saying that again.

In the last 24 hours? There’s another two new ones, I mean. From yesterday.

I definitely dropped off a while ago, got a bit sick of the constant, pretty similar, releases. All his remixes sounded the same for a while too, then I think when he went lo-fi housey it was all pretty indistinguishable from everything else but seems to have calmed down with that. Parallel is my favourite for now, it’s like modern Four Tet but with old Four Tet noises again.

The Steve Reid collaboration waaaay back did that, I think. That came out of the blue for sure. On SJR too, I think. Stepped up early.

I’m not posting it but the new Burial tune sounds like one of his immitators. But it’s him. Drums on the grid too. Really didn’t like it.

Edit: damn, someone already said the same thing basically

The remix he did recently was great though.

Another one down, a victim of this bloody virus. RIP Harold Budd.

Fuck!

Great NTS Harold Budd tribute mix that’s worth a listen
