The never ending story was on at the weekend so I thought I’d see if my 4 year old daughter was interested in it. She wasn’t and started playing with toys.
It got to the point in the film where the horse got stuck in the mud and died, I was welling up and my daughter looked at me and ‘it’s just a horse.’
I think I got away with it.
Instrumental songs aren’t about anything and Mogwai talk shite.
Tell her you like Joy Division.

And it does have vocals
lol beef
Saddest song ever…
Until I realise the singer looks like my uncle with long hair and a pink frilly shirt.

that one sometimes as well
just had my first week working at home (mental aye) so got the one deck one monitor mono’d set up on the go next to me at all times, really enjoying listening thru loads of stuff i’ve bought over the past year or so
Robert Glasper with the “Dilla Still Excites” shirt got me stoked. There’s Dilla vibes all the way through.
On another jazz festival tip, this is pretty good - Material playing live at Montreux Jazz Festival in 1983
First live performance of ‘Rockit’
& Keith Haring drawing along
Shit, saw him at a festival a couple of years ago and he was quite sprightly.
RIP
For those of you that like a folky type music, one of my favourite artists released a new album today.
This is great!
Nice isn’t it. I used a track from his previous album in the video I did about a year ago:

New LP by Senyawa. I love this group – amazing avant-garde/tribal/drone/doom from Indonesia.
