Enjoyed the jail stories and I love the passion he still has for skating.
Think what you want of The Nine Club, this interview was well good.
Kalis hasnāt changed one bit in thirty years, has been keeping it real without being corny a single time for decades, what a legend. Love his passion for skateboarding and his dedication for the culture and the community around him!

Had two Kalis sightings when I visited Philly in 99.
He double parked his tricked out bmw 540 outside the skate shop and then got rumbled stealing bog roll from the loo
Another time he was in the rocker bar in a slayer tee buying everyone beers

this. Kalis is still Kalis and it makes me so so happy. i love his stance on skateboarding, doesnāt give a fuck about parks or the olympics, just wants a big space with lots of ledges n shit to do lines. favourite all-timer for me
watching the Kalis episode got me into the Christiana Means episode. sheās talking about how she was a skate coach for the olympics in China and they picked kids from multiple disciplines and FORCED them to skate 6 hours a day to become competitive. awful.

Watched most of it last night and has some great stories. Will finish tonight if I get chance.
Yeah I had to stop tooā¦ might pick it back up later, Crob calling Death Box, Black Box after just being told seconds beforeā¦ also Mike explaining how the Santa Cruz thing didnāt happen so he bounced back to the U.K. with no board sponsor and managed to get hooked up on ATM, Crob āWhile you were still on Santa Cruz!?ā
