My Mrs has the apps for all of the major delivery companies. Luckily we have a sound neighbour who will take anything in for us. Our local post lady and the man who delivers larger stuff in a van are sound. Someone I know drives for hermes he has a set route doing all the small villages some days he says its quiet and others it’s busy.

Hermes as a company are definitely bobbins. Yodel too. But for balance, our Hermes delivery guy is spot on. Could do with a few more teeth, but he delivers fine.
Never had any problems when parcels are delivered to my workplace, though for some reason last year, when i ordered a set of speakers, they came in a huge 25kg box about the size of a dining room chair, delivered to my workplace, 12km from my home which is where they were supposed to go. €40 taxi back home cost more than the courier…

Even better than a no show delivery is the customs charge that is more expensive than the item you’re buying (records usually).
Backing DPD too, especially with the app where you can follow the little van around until it gets to you.

there was C4 Joe Lycett consumer affiars show (bit like watchdog) where he exposed hermes as delivering containers full of undelivered goods multiple times a week direct to auction houses where you could just buy a pallets worth of undelivered parcels for fuck all
if you google it all the links are daily mail so couldnt bring myself to use theirs
he reunited a couple of punters with their parcels after buying a crate, but this is absolutley outrageous

I saw someone on my Instagram buy one, nothing of any real value I think. It was just clothing and shoes
Never has the phrase ‘you get what you pay for’ rang so true when you opt for the cheapest courier

My DPD dude is called Lee and he’s a fucking legend. Not just because he’s friendly, delivers my stuff with care and always comes at suitable times of the day, but most importantly because he always shuts my gate behind him!

Yeah all depends on the driver for your area. We got to know our DPD, APC drivers and they are cool, plenty of others are cool too. The Hermes lady that delivers ebay and amazon stuff to our house is great too even though she looks like a crack head. If you get a cunt then any courier can seem shit.

Lost my bulldog Russell yesterday. He was diagnosed with right sided heart disease back in April and has powered through the last eight months like a boss. I’ve had him since the day he was born (his mother died after the birth) and me and the Mrs hand-reared him and he didn’t leave our side for over nine years. Absolutely devastated and I can honestly say yesterday was the worst day of my life. Seeing him go was so fucking awful but ultimately the right thing to do. Those of you who have gone through this before, I honestly feel your pain and send my love

So sorry to hear that, we lost our family rottie almost exactly a year ago and it still slightly depresses me to think of her not being around now.
