Not Stoked.

Cancelled the online food delivery for tomorrow. Half the stuff we had ordered on a weekly food shop was out of stock. I tried finding alternatives but they were out of stock. Plan now is to get up early doors tomorrow and go in person to the 24hr tesco before work around 6ish maybe.

Absolute fucking morons and so are the government for not just closing the pubs etc.

My folks are actually being good, both in their 80s, my dad’s a retired engineer and he’s clearly set them the goal of not catching the thing. We were able to have a really sensible talk about it all.

My Nan told my dad last night “We are British, we get on with it”.

Don’t know if it’s just a catchphrase she is copying or if she really believes it.

Keep Calm and Carry On.

Yeah no.

What do you expect when most old folk voted Brexit not knowing what it was really about . This is the same but could actually send them 6ft under. And Brexit hasn’t even got under way fully

Asked my parents if they were self isolating and they said they were, only to get off the phone to go to a quiz night. And my mum’s a nurse. Parents are such fuckheads I JUST DON’T WANT YOU TO DIE

Was just talking to my housemate (41, works in a hospital) and she was saying how she’s thinking of going to a big house party her friends are having on Saturday night. She said ‘fuck it I want to get the virus out of the way’

God damn I hate her I can’t wait to move out.

I took a company vehicle to get serviced as we’re selling it, I only managed to reverse it into a Merc parking it in the car park it stays in. Fuckkkk.

I do some work as as chef in the evenings a few nights a week, the place I work it got closed down today, 15 people out of a job with no notice and a box of veg from the kitchen as a redundancy package each. I’m the lucky one as I have a pretty secure day job and that was just for pocket money but there 15 people now who relied on it to pay their rent fucked.

That sucks! Hopefully they get sorted. Trying to get universal credit is a pain. Ours is a top up but it’s just all the hoops you have to jump through and the 5 week wait.

Thought I’d be clever and do our weekly food shop this morning at 0600. Turns out loads of other people had the same idea. Tesco was shut between 2200 and 0600 to restock. Couldn’t get pasta or rice, couldn’t get tinned foods. Bought what we needed and came home. It’s ridiculous what this has come to. I didn’t notice anyone panic buying from what I saw, I did see staff coming off shift grabbing baskets of fresh meat and veg though.

Hint.
Not checked yet but most people probably don’t know that other than the standard rice section there is a huge sack of Jasmine rice that tesco sell.
It is usually stashed with the Asian foods near the chapati flour and stuff.
Big white bag / sack with a red dragon on it.
Pretty sure that your everyday prepper will be going straight for the smaller packets of Tilda.
Might do a test run later.

yeah that’s usually down the “world foods” aisle that racists and daily mail readers don’t go down in case they catch religion or something

They’re missing out on those wicked chilli and lime cofresh crisps and cassava chips. Silly racists

Off to Booker later, as you have to have a VAT number to have an account, I’m hoping it will be stoked, will pop by Costco on the way, as it’s public it may be off nut. That said the Tesco on the way to work wasn’t busy this morning and wasn’t savaged by doomers

went bookers yesterday, fully stocked on absolutely everything apart from toilet roll haha

Booker had no meat, Costco had no meat, loads of shit if you want it though

Go vege.
Nah, I couldn’t either.

Stll had no issues just using the Coop round the corner and getting bits as we need it. There is a bit of mixed messaging though, avoid as many contacts as possible but don’t buy too much stuff at once.

My local coop wasn’t too bad, I got the last whole chicken, loads of frozen pizzas and such. EVERYWHERE had fresh fruit and veg. Chopping and freezing loads of veg in a sec.
