Not Stoked.

My wife has just exploded my 8 year old laptop. Any recommendations on a new one in this working from home yet going to the shops loads current climate?

I’ve drunk so much fucking tea today, it’s giving me the shits and affecting my TP consumption.

you need to counter this by loading up on fibre to solidify the poop and hope for some ghosty shits which require minimal TP.

Help. I’ve run out of my Ethiopian Hambela washed coffee beans. I only have pre-ground decaff left.

Went to Sainsbury’s to get me oat milk(shut up) for the tanks on the street shutdown. There was fucking loads. As society breaks down it’s good to know I can still have my morning coffee.

Our local Tesco was all out of the long life Oately. Not a happy P Mayn.

They had a deal on the coconut and oat versions here the other week and stocked up ahead of time. They’re also great for smoothies with porridge oats, frozen strawberries, blueberries and bananas, with a dash of turmeric and chia seeds.

I;m lacking in veges… plenty of fish fingers and tins of ravioli. I’ll probably get scurvy.

Why are you guys not drinking regular milk?

Oat, Coconut, almond etc. milks are UHT, so they’re good for a few months before going off.
Some folks avoid them due to lactose intolerance, which is more widespread in adults than you’d realise.
And, ethically, dairy & beef industries are hugely destructive to the environment with methane discharges from cow farts, forest clearance to make room for herds on farms, livestock welfare is generally shit, all that sort of thing.
Plus, the flavour. Put pineapple and melon into a smoothie with coconut milk and it tastes great. Swap that for cow’s milk, it won’t work.

And you are right to.

Cancelled the mountain biking I had planned for Sunday. Mates are still going but driving 80 miles and doing the kind of ride where I’ve ended up close to needing A&E (and have seen folk who have) doesn’t sit right.

Road ride, run or cruise I reckon.

It’s my daughters birthday today, obviously any plans have been cancelled and she’s stuck indoors.

As I’m eternally broke I offered a choice between a gaming headset, and some climbing shoes for her final present, her birthday party was gonna be at a climbing gym so she chose the shoes…
Facetime her this morning and of course her mum has got her a gaming headset.

I appreciate this is a ridiculous “first world problem” considering the circumstances, and really not worthy of a post, just a massive facepalm, I’ll just whack her in the shoes and make her climb the sofa… At least I’m getting to see her!

What are other shared parenting families doing under the circumstances?!

It’s not at all worrying that this has become one of my favourite child friendly insults
