Not Stoked.

Guns, fucking hell. We’ve been told here not to call the police unless you’re literally about to be murdered, and to call 101 instead. Likewise ambulances, if you aren’t in the process of actually dying you go to the pharmacy.

My daughter finally gets funding for nursery and next months bill has significantly increased because it coincides with the nursery switching from a day rate to hourly rate costing £20 a day more. Buzzing.

Being able to send in 8 angry armed police to some bellend’s flat with pistols drawn at your whim is the stuff of dreams.

That’s brilliant! Nice one Niall

Came here to rant about money. Have never been so broke whilst earnings are relatively high in the grand scheme. Got a tax bill for 8k whilst being in regular employment because they messed up my code.
Zero savings and living pay check to pay check.

Ouch. I got similar a few years ago due to 2 lots of different company’s share options that got paid out in the same year.

Luckily I was able to pay it off over 12 months, but it hurt.

Same. Earning more than I ever have ON PAPER. Still touting for freelance stuff. Bullshit.

Thought I’d gotten away with not getting ill off the kids this Xmas but now I’m lying in a dark room with a high temp, a drilling headache and my whole body hurts :sob:

Some mad shit going around atm, my mate got measles from the school he works at and was the only adult in the UK with it the other week! Been a case at my lads nursery last week also

tax stuff is doing my head in. similar boat to @navitronic because of share stuff. large bill that i might have to sell shares to cover (un)ironically

Have a lot to be grateful for, but it feels like I shouldn’t be broke. Am very fortunate though and I remember that daily.

Maybe it’s time to cut back on the Starbucks and avocado on toast.

Assume you guys know about stocks and shares ISAs. Had some work shares come through this year, put that shit straight into one of them.

House sale went through. HMRC CGT tax was also 50% less than I estimated, and paid that off yesterday. So Not Stoked → Stoked.

Was in a car crash this morning with two of my kids. Nobody hurt. All I truly care about. So this could be a ‘stoked’ post in that sense.

That said, could really have done without having my car written off by someone ploughing into the back of me whilst I wasn’t even moving.

Could also do without the residual feeling of being slightly shat up all day that I’ve been left with.
