Don’t normally post about work but just got off a massive pitch I had to present whilst my boss was on the call watching. Absolutely choked my way through it nervously like i was on dragons den or something. Was highest pressure to perform and most critical thing I needed to do all year and it went awful, all whilst my boss was watching

How I presented won’t change the outcome, as it’s all in the deck which they need some time to review but fucking hell it was rough

Probably wont be as bad as you think. Dont worry about it. The number of absolute carcrash presentations Ive sat through and noone notices, you’ll be reet

For you, it was your worst presentation ever, for everyone else it was just another Wednesday.

Most people are terrible or, at best, average/tolerable at presentations. Hardly anyone is actually engaging to the audience.

Yeah I’ve done presentations where I’ve been on the verge of a panic attack, and to the people in the audience I just came across as ‘a little bit nervous.’

Definitely went better than you feel it did

Rip Matt Mills

Yeah I was really sad to see that on Louisa Menke’s insta. Was he still living in Spain? I know he had a lot of serious health issues anyway - RIP

Really sad. He was always great with my generation of skaters at The Quay in Leicester, so many funny stories, like the time he filmed Paul Alexander switch tre the gap using the worst camera anyone had ever seen using a door peephole as a fisheye. I’m happy that that 05 til Infinity part exists. RIP.

What a character. Used to run into him in Barca. Very sad, RIP

I’m from the next village over from where he grew up. I remember first skating with him at Hinckley leisure centre banks. He was only a nipper but already ripping. RIP

Was supposed to complete on the sale of our house next week. Got a call from the estate agent and turns out the buyer’s dad went round and made a list of stuff he thinks is wrong with the house (light not working on oven extractor, etc). Now they want a £2.5k reduction on the price. Me and the Mrs are livid.

Is it not normal practice in England for potential buyers to have an evaluator check the house first before buying? I’ve also had it done for renting whrn you start and when you leave.

I can understand it is annoying though.

My sisters buyer did this, selling to a first time buyer, just before it went through the Dad went round and wanted 5k off and wouldn’t budge. My sister couldn’t budge as they had stretched the new mortgage to the limit so Dad compromised on 3/4 of their furniture. Scum bag behaviour

Yeah, we’re already selling well below the asking price to get a quick sale. Pulling this shit at the last minute really is just dick head tactics. Now it’s just a game of chicken. Just what we need over the Easter weekend.

Buyers Dad can fuck off imho.

Easy to say when not in a home buying chain with all the stress

Pure speculation on my part, but it sounds like a dickhead dad move… ‘I bet I can get it cheaper for you.’ Trying to act like the big man.

Call his bluff. Say you can fix them but that’ll put the price up. The price is what it is for a reason… or something, try and put the ball back in their court.
