Same, we’ve had ours since the mid 90s, best toaster ever. However we got a Dualit kettle and that broke within 18 months (and the little red light on it just fell off way before that).

This is basically why I like Mercedes cars from the 80’s and early 90’s specifically. They were just building them as good as they possibly could regardless of price. I love companies that do shit well. They are probably the best at that time.

I found an tutorial for changing the battery so did that. Not only kept it going but got a pretty decent upgrade, it’ll leave a stock toothbrush in the dust.
We have a Fellow kettle now, it’s steezy as hell, it’s got a comfy silicon handle and a real satisfying ‘clunk’ on the button when you switch it on (insert gif of Alan Partridge’ saying “nice action!” to the guy in Richer Sounds)

Ours didn’t last long. It was the one that made me get extended wty on kettles as we burn through them fast here. Just had another pack in - button won’t stay down. 4 years 
Was up late working last night totally zoned out and focussed (bear in mind I’m 2 hours ahead), completely forgot to watch the England game. Not that bothered about it, but also am not gloating that I am not bothered. So stoked that I didn’t go through the rollercoaster of emosh, but not stoked that they lost, obvs.
I watched it, similar. I’m not overly bothered.
It’s the rollercoaster I don’t like. I have enough stress in my personal life without adding more of it 
I watched the end of it, I’m really not fussed about football at all but the final stages of the world cup feel more like a news story to me so I’m always curious to see what happens. I’d also rather England had won because that cheers loads of people up which is always nice to see.
