We’re currently on a road trip to take the littlun to see her great grandparents for the first time (they’re in Poole and can’t travel, we’re in Hull). Spent the weekend in London seeing friends and family then set off down to Dorset this morning around ten. Got about five miles before the alternator packed up on the car. Battery light on, no power / misfire and - most scary - no electrics. Literally nothing - indicators, hazards, the lot. Managed to get pulled over and recovery called safely, but it properly shat me up - it was scary enough in slow traffic in Croydon but if it had happened a few miles later on the M25 it could have been a proper disaster.

Anyway the recovery guy and local garage we went to were amazing, and we were back on the road by half two (350 quid lighter, but I can’t really complain at that). And now I’m sat in the living room of our Airbnb with the littlun on my shoulder cos she won’t settle in her cot and the Mrs only had about 2hrs sleep last night.

Jesus that was a close one, power cuts are gnarly. We keep having them in our flat because of some sketchy electrics. When it’s close to bedtime and suddenly there’s the prospect of no hot water or cooker working it goes from becoming mildly inconvenient to being massive logistical pain in the arse.

Ant invasion in our house and in the chicken coop. Pfff.

Happened to us one night coming onto the m6. Auxiliary belt snapped, luvkiky mother in law came and got the Mrs and daughter. I waited for recovery whilst they went back to her muns house. Was night time, a screaming baby and trying to sort recovery wasn’t fun

UWard I’ve been on has been chill, till last night night. Brought in some old guy, screaming and shouting at 11 last night. Had to take him out again after an hour. Been waking me up at all times of the night for blood tests too, check my stats, ect, not had a proper nights sleep in a week.
More bloods and a CT scan today and hopefully I can go home tomorrow with some news, fingers crossed.

Edit: just been upgraded from a CT scan to a MRI scan.

keen for a lil meetup but only if cundall is

When and where? Can’t do this weekend unless Sunday.

That’s a soft tissue scan, right? Something physically going on with your heart??

was in reply to niall/neddy, i’m up for it whenever !

Yeh I hope the tests go ok and they can provide ear plugs and let you sleep a bit

Keeping an eye out for the when and where.
If I can’t skate, maybe I could dig out my camera gear and film some stuff, if anyone is into it?

Designed some tees for my mate’s shop. Sent a v specific email with artwork files scaled, dimensions, placement guides etc and they came back with the wrong logo version (not inverted for white on black) wrong size, wrong placement…

Fuckin printers brains are addled from solvents I reckon. Bummed.

Big box shelves in the living room that had (the best) half of my record collection and all my bike helmets fell down today. Proper shat myself when the Mrs sent me a photo of them on the floor, luckily everyone (except one very freaked out cat) was out at the time.

Update, got a full refund and they are reprinting. I know you were all waiting for news

I was! Wanted to answer the other day but forgot to do it. It’s happened to me before and it drove me mad. Stoked for you!

Went to the park for an hour and ended up focusing my board. Haven’t focused a board in a couple years. More disappointed than anything else, just feel like a dick focusing a board in half decent nick while people ride around on boards well past their prime.
