Yeah, I actually found myself being stoked and a little annoyed he was scored so badly. To bust out Nollie heel grabs etc is mindblowing. I guess he’s done those a million times so it’s not as impressive to the judges.
Scoring was rubbish throughout. The generic big snowboard tricks scored high but the really interesting bits were not. Hampus late shove slide run was bonkers and he never made it over juggler guy.
Slam Man deserves a truly global audience
Yeah but I could have done without every trick being fully sent, they sent that or almost sending it!
Minor personal peeve.
Oh really? I didn’t notice the word “send” “sent” that would have annoyed me too
You saw this, right?
Yeah I did was it too much to ask to stick a jersey on him and point him towards the bowl at comp time?
Countdown to someone yelling "Andy Macdonald’ at me out of a car window starts now…
I was trying to get one for a mate! But I was never meant to be doing commentary, just had a regs ticket to the stands. Ed Leigh put the call in to his boss to have me in there with them and they went for it. Very decent.
Good work LA! Forum local props
It’s funny - you always assume the BBC would be layers and layers of red tape to get through to do that.
Quite nice to know it’s not like that.
That’s actually what I found attending the Olympics to be like, too.
I sat there and went “Oh, its ‘just’ a skate comp” almost surprised on some level.
Finally a bloody gold.
Innit been a minute, first one ever in that event.
Killed it on the commentary @LA , as others have said
Serbia came close to beating USA in the basketball, what an upset that would have been.
Can someone in Europe tell me how the fuck I can watch any of this on catch-up?
Been trying to find somewhere and all roads leads nowhere
I’m out in the country ATM with no TV
I got to commentate a comp in 2 weeks where a lot of the competitors go after and it’s a bit shit if I have no idea who’s been at the olympics
Or if I get a VPN is it on iPlayer?
Discovery have the rights in Europe, BBC is only allowed to show a total of 250 hours of live events across the whole Olympics, which sounds like a lot but split over the timespan doesn’t work out to much.
Eurosport and Discovery Plus has everything.
