In Mike Arnold’s defence - Isle are not really up to much are they? He’s at a point in his career where he’s probably going to be earning the most he’s going to earn so why would you stay with a board brand that seems to be inactive?
No diss to Isle, I want it to succeed but it appears to have no momentum

THis conversations been had a few times on here - Isle have great art direction but have let everything else slide. Shier only ever posts about adidas. Do they even have a TM?
At this point Jensen would be better just treating it as a way to release art - just do occasional releases and artist collabs, and drop the team.

Shier (or was it Jensen?) said they were keeping it alive in an interview a year or two ago but nothing seems to have happened since.
I really wanted one of the recent ‘tweaked modernism’ series decks for the wall, but never saw them in any shops and their web shop doesn’t have them. Unless it was a really limited run and I missed it.

Isle has that “relaunch” video that also announced Kyron and then seemed to do nothing else. Real shame overall.

I know Harmony Korine is mates with Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump so I assumed there’s a connection there but I don’t know exactly what either.
Maybe Jared’s brother…the one who invests in the AI stuff? Would make sense.
Whenever we talk about Isle, I always think, what even is a skateboard company these days other than a semi regular run of boards moving through a distribution chain and an instagram account…
