Haha, turning this one off now. It feels like it’s just grinding through the motions. Loved the others but this one is just a load of pleasantries and rammel.
Enjoying this whilst working this morning.
Mark Herbert of Warp Films chatting about UK film and tele.
Got plenty of time for someone that had owt to do wi’ Dead Mans Shoes.
@franc or other French speakers on here.
Does anyone have any recommendations of French language skate podcasts? I want to learn normal human French not formal robot French and think that would be a good way.
Have to agree, it didn’t sound very well prepared which is a shame. It won’t stop me from tuning into the next one though.
Perfect cheers
Yeah basically this apart from he’s about 100x better than brophy
Brophy’s time in the UK has always endeared him to me
[/GANG !]
Big Spin for sure. Loads of good episodes (Bertrand Soubrier, Soy, Eric Antoine, Stéphane Larance, Charles Collet, Daclin of course, Milou, Nicolas Malinowsky…).
Beyond Boards had a few episodes in French that were good too (the Arnaud Dedieu one is brilliant, you could listen to the Romy Bertrand and Greg Poissonnier episodes too) but the (French) guy doing it later started interviewing French skaters in English which is horrible. Dig deep for this (the early episodes are where you’ll find what you are looking for).
Bahahahha. Yer 180 up south bank.
According to Daclin this is really good too: LSD, la série documentaire en podcast sur France Culture
This week’s episodes are about skateboarding. I haven’t listened to them yet but Gégé c’est le patron and he knows what’s up.
theres an awesome pic of him ollieing SB rubble in the LLSB book - might be an Smashley photo
Think it’s a Dom Marley shot
Oh man this is amazing!
Please forgive the implied narcissism of self-posting but…
The latest pod from Joel Curtis’ Skate Creative Podcast is out on Spotify and other platforms.
Joel has a full-time retail job, teenage kids and various other adult responsibilities so has set up a subscription for this where you get extended pods etc to accompany the free content. He spends hours and hours making these so after repeatedly asking what myself and other guests thought, he’s finally bitten the bullet - if it covers a tiny bit of his electricity he’ll be stoked.
It’s £2.99 a month - I’ve sub’d myself as I appreciate all the work Joel puts in. If you fancy it/enjoy his output please consider doing the same.

Loved the Chris Roberts meme
I keep trying to subscribe but Spotify comes back saying my card details aren’t right, which they are. Very annoying.
Edit: Did it on my browser instead of the app and sorted. Just pressed play - stoked!
Yeah I manually typed it in and still wouldn’t have it on the app. Did it on the link through Joel’s insta and it worked fine
Definitely worth the £2.99 price tag.
