Set up new (White) stereo and it’s nice enough. Not entirely convinced though. Took a while to swap it all over too, had to put all new connectors on etc and it looks odd as it’s a different size.
This is why I had this NAD for so long, I just knew the sound and could dial in the right sound for the music. This one I think may have more fidelity but the NAD had some punch and a colour of it’s own that was complementary to everything. If I wanted uncoloured flat response i’d listen to music on my studio monitors. The living room is for saturating pleasure.

I’ll pop this one on. I’ve had a bit to drink and the only speaker is a google home hidden in the back (but it is white). Brown sofa gang - from SA. paid in cash delivered in an envelope as I know the leather supplier to the manufacturer so got mates rates. The single chairs in the back belonged to my great-grandfather who picked them up in an antique store in 1930 or something so who knows how old they really are. They’ve been reupholstered obv. Apols for scooter, it’s not mine.

Didn’t for the wine in the end today, been on the Rum n Cokes on and off. While ago I had some Old J’s rum in an Annies Burger shack so I got a bottle for my Bday the other day and it’s now all gone. It’s so easy to drink, it’s like a vanilla cream soda with a hint of bubblegum. So tasty.
I’m all about rum and ginger beer if I want a mixer. Either dark spiced or disgusting over proof gasoline with loads of lime in it.
I feel like I’ve drunk too much beer recently so I’ve started drinking wine instead. Thinking of joining a wine club for an xmas treat to myself. I don’t know much about wine so I only ever buy the same one. Should try more reds.

Nice, I like Rum and Canada Dry but you don’t see it about much nowadays. Canada Dry is just a nostalgia thing as my Grandad used to drink his whisky with it.

I just realized that I haven’t had a drop of alcohol in 2 and a half weeks or something. No need to congratulate me, bloody Covid made that happen. Might treat myself to a glass of whisky later.

It’s called a Dark and Stormy. Been my go-to “drinking drink” for a while from being mates with the bar manager at a Jamaican place. If you’ve got angostura add a dash of that too. Never feels good the morning after though. So much sugar.
